This book is very pretty, but it did not have very many crafts, which is what I was interested in. It was mostly a cook book centering around the author, who I gather from context is a famous TV personality in Sweden. Though he is certainly handsome, for a non-swedish audience full page christmas pictures of the author aren't that interesting or relevant. Also, some of the recipes list ingredients that were unknown to me ("syrup"),but might be known to others who are better with swedish cooking ingredients. Also, unless you are a herring fan, the first several pages of recipes should be skipped. My great grandmother was swedish and I have visited Sweden, but there was still a bit of a culture gap between this book and me.

This book is well written and has beautiful photos in it. Several of the photos are of the author and in my opinion, one of the author would have been enough. More attention to the actual crafts and photos of them would have been nice, it seems to be lacking. It is a nice coffee table book but I was looking for actual crafts that are from that Country rather than the author.

I bought this book as i was going to make a swedish Xmas dinner this year. I think the book is great, is has a lot of different things you can make that is usually served at the christmas table. Easy enough to make and tasty ! Id recommend this book if you are looking for a swedish christmas inspiration. It is a cook book tho so if you want more crafts i would not get it :)

this book is terrible! There is no information about traditions. I looked forward to reading how christmas is celebrated in scandinavia. This book didn't tell me.
