This was my introduction to Sweelinck's vocal oeuvre. I treasure it as a testament to the absolutely perfect compositional skill of Sweelinck. The music is beyond words. Therefore all I can say is make an attempt to hear Sweelinck's vocal output, you will not be disappointed. The singing on this recording could not be better. I am no good at criticism anyway so I can only say that Sweelinck is one of the greatest composer's that ever lived and this music testifies to that.
