I purchased three copies of this book. When they arrived in the mail, they were so cushy and cute and musical and fun that I wanted to keep one for myself. Every little baby ought to have this cute toy. Why? We need to inspire literacy from day one! Let a baby-child see himself in books from the start of life.
Please note that SWEET SWEET BABY is also a fun read-aloud that will nuture a bond between parent and child. You cannot lose with this purchase. One more thing--a grand applause should go out to Javaka Steptoe. His daddy was a great artist and this young man is carrying on the legacy. Go Boy!!!!

I received this book as a gift at my baby shower and I feel in love with it aesthetically almost instantly! The text is simple but sweet and it can be hung on the crib or the stroller and carried around as an educational toy! Loves it and I can't wait to put it to use with my baby girl.

This is the perfect gift for a baby shower. We have quite a few others in this exact same style (with crinkly sounds, mirror, rattle, etc. Butnone of them feature the amazing artwork of Javaka Steptoe. We love this book at our house!

I got this as a gift at my shower and I love it. This book is perfect for my newborn. The "story" is short which is perfect for his short attention span, the colors help him focus his eyes. I run his little hands over the textures of the petals, and he loves the mirror in the back. Highly recommended!

I love everything about this book. I love that it's cloth, I love the story, I love the pictures, and I love the "pedals." My 2 year old is finally figuring out how to squeak the 2 pedals that squeak, other than that she was never interested in the pedals. But she does like the story and likes me to read it to her.
