This book is absolutely abysmal! The main protagonist, Adragon Hart is a whiny, needy Mama's boy of a seventeen-year-old. Then he becomes a whiny, needy Mama's boy of a vampire. He also becomes abusive, threatening his mother, beating on his girlfriend, Del (the one who turned him), and generally behaving like a complete creep. And we're supposed to feel supportive of...

And we're supposed to feel supportive of this guy's vampiric struggle? Ha!! I kept reading, hoping it would get better, hoping that Del would finally get some backbone and throw the jerk out of their condo. He beats her, she forgives him, he beats her some more, she forgives him again. And I thought vampires were supposed to be smarter than ordinary mortals. Do yourself a favor, and avoid this book!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother., March 3, 1999

To his shock, Adragon found out his mother is a vampire, his lover is a vampire, HE is a vampire.

This is the story of Adragon's vampirism emerging. He must also learn how he died in his last life.

***In my opinion, this one is just a lot of vampires sharing each other's blolld. No coffins. No sunlight problem. No one hunting them. It does not really get interesting until the end, when Adgragon gets his first, and only, time of danger.***
