I'm REALLY into Kristen Heitzmann books right now. I love her stories and the way she tells them. This book is the 2nd of this series (Diamond of the Rockies) and is a bit of a prequel to The Michelli Family Series. It isn't necessary to read this series first, but does give some background on ancestors that are referred to the Michelli series.
This is one of my favorite series by Kristen H.
