I thought that this CD was absolutely wonderful. We recently adopted a baby from Korea who had many transitions to endure as he became acclimated to western culture. One of the greatest challenges was getting him in our time zone, and use to sleeping in a crib----in korea the children sleep on mats on the floor necxt to their mothers. This CD was a God-sent in helping Seth feel safe and secure in his new environment. I hightly recommend this beautiful music collection.

As a new dad I spent many many hours in the rocking chair getting my little baby boy settled down for sleep. We spent much of that time listening to this CD. It's very calm and soothing (sometime's we'd both fall asleep :-).

The best part is that, even after months of daily listening, I never got tired of the music. There's so much kid-oriented music out there that's either synthesized or cloyingly sweet or gets stuck in your head. This CD rises above the pack -- it's real instruments, it's real songs, it's very relaxing, and you won't get tired of it.

This CD is just beautiful! It lulls my 5 month old daughter to sleep every time! I played it to her before she was born, and I have also listened to it myself when I have had trouble sleeping. I wouldn't want to go without it!

I am a Nanny for a little boy and he falls asleep for his nap and bedtimes to this wonderful CD by Trio Lyra. I rock him to sleep for his nap with his bottle while this CD is playing. To hear this soothing and calming music just put us both into such a relaxing state. The music is absolutely beautiful. 3 very talented musicians play the flute, harp, and viola. Beautiful lullabyes and nursery rhymes are played with their own special classical touch. The songs are not played loud with the instruments.... it's very soft and mellow.. almost like willow trees swaying in the breeze. As you can tell, I love this CD. Well, I gave birth to a son who is 5 months now and I wanted this CD for him. My Son fell asleep to Frank Sinatra all the time after about 6-7 songs. He loved Frank and still does. But I needed a change of music myself, in addition to loving this CD by Trio Lyra, I knew my son would love it too and be very soothing and calming for him enough to do the trick and put him to sleep much faster.I searched many stores and could not find this CD until I found it here at Amazon. The 1st night I had the CD I was so excited to try it out on my son. After the 2nd song he was out like a light! Now, it's a bedtime/naptime ritual: Bottle and rocked to Trio Lyra CD. He becomes so peaceful and falls asleep very quickly. One time I even looked to see my husband had fallen fast asleep on the bed while putting my son to sleep-when he was wide awake not only 2 minutes ago. This CD is highly reccomended by me. There is nothing I dont like about it. There is 17 beautifully orchastrated and gentle songs. It's awesome! Very calming, relaxing, soothing, peaceful music to put to sleep any baby and any adult. A MUST HAVE!!

I was given this CD in the hospital when my son was born. He is now 8 months old and we listen to it every night before he goes to sleep. The music is so soothing and calming to him and to me. We never tire of it. This has to be the best CD of Lullabies out there!

I have bought MANY cd's for my babies nursery, this is the best cd with nice relaxing calming music. I highly recommend

I got this CD during my first pregnancy,we loved listening it; when she was born she would be asleep by the end of the 4th song. Later, my son also enjoyed it. Now, after 6 years, when I put them to bed, they ask me to mumble the songs.

It is a great tool to relax and unwind for both parents and kids!

We purchased this CD 7 years ago when our daughter was born. It was an amazing purchase and one of the very few items that I feel was a necessity and a blessing. When you establish a sleey time routine with your baby, your family will have to hear the same music over and over and over again. This music was soothing to us all and like the other reviewers mentioned, we never got sick of it. We took it with us on vacations and the entire family always relaxed as soon as the music began. It is truly beautiful music that we are all so attached to. It is a lovely gift for you, your baby, or others. I can't recommend it highly enough.

This relaxing and magnificent CD is a real winner for parents of new babies or anyone who loves to relax to the music of three terrific musicians. The combination of the flute, viola, and harp playing traditional lullabies will remove stress in a matter of minutes. A great gift which combines good classical listening with musical favorites from your childhood.
