Better track listing than the US release,

Although this collection doesn't follow chronological order like the US release, I still prefer it because it contains one hit that was not included on the US version, "Soul Inspiration." It also includes "When You Love Someone" (a duet with James Ingram) and "Good Enough," one of the best tracks from GIVING YOU THE BEST THAT I'VE GOT.

Anita Baker hit the big time just about as Whitney and Janet did.But her approach to it was classier than both the other two. Anita is more soulful, some kind of an evolution of Ella or Sarah Vaughan. This as far as my dad opinion goes...after listening to RHYTHM OF LOVE and FAIRYTALES. This compilation is nice, tracking down all of the singles she released so far and some nice non-single tracks. SWEET LOVE and GIVING YOU THE BEST THAT I'VE GOT are good to set the moods right for love. NO ONE IN THE WORLD and JUST BECAUSE, SAME OLE LOVE and CAUGHT UP IN THE RAPTURE are frizzy. WHEN YOU LOVE SOMEONE displays James Ingram in top form duetting with her on a David Foster-produced track, while Rick Nowels makes good in writing BODY AND SOUL. But over all is Michael Powell's touch you can feel all over these works. And i like it. Just a quick note off the record..i bought this album here in Italy and the coverart is nothing like the one shown here, it is the same as the US version, plus all the tracks have been digitally remastered..and a coupla of extra songs here. So if you're a fan, i'd say go for this one album to buy!
