WHAT. THE. WHAT.

Holy beer cheese on tater tots, this book just blew up my brain.

Let it be known that I am a huge Jamie McGuire fan in general, but I also really loved Pretty Little Things by Teresa Mummert, so I was super jazzed about this collaboration. The title intrigued me, and now that I've finished, it's literally PERFECT. I could see both of their styles at the surface, but what was so amazing was that it blended so well that it felt like they were the same person.

You've probably already picked up from the other reviews that there's a huge twist at the end, and there is. I think it will hit everyone in different ways. For me? I LOVED it. This story is unique and at the base of everything, it highlights the fact that love is something you feel, something that lives so deep in our beings.

I'm convinced that Josh is totally a distant relative of the Maddox brothers. I felt that several times. I seriously love him just like a Maddox boy, too. He's damaged, he's not perfect, but you just love the crap out of him.

Avery was everything I wanted in a heroine - she was strong, yet insecure, which is how many of us women truly are. Toward the end, I was really starting to get frustrated with her actions, but when the twist happened, it all made sense.

I highlighted so much in this book - it truly was beautiful from the very beginning to the last page. Sweet Nothing is the only book that's ever knocked me on my butt and given me faith in love at the same time. Addicting and fast-paced, this story has love and hope laced into every page. Definitely five stars!

Any review I give of this book will be a spoiler. So, I will just say, stay tuned. This is different, strange, different and strangely good. I know am rambling but that is the way I feel right now. Troubled and trembling for my loves, Josh and Avery. To be continued... Did I mentioned I hate cliffhangers? Yep. I sure do, but for this book, it is a love-hate relationship. You've got to read this story though, then you will get what I mean.

I kinda guessed what was happening, but, I got into the story so much, I forgot. So, when 'that' happened I was not too shocked, except I didn't know Josh was also involved. By the way, I didn't sleep till I finished this story, sometimes around 4am, and I have to go to work. No amount of coffee is keeping awake. This story has renewed my faith in my addiction. Nothing compared.

Speechless. Mind blown. In shock. I just finished reading this heart-stopping, unique story. How cow balls what a twist!! I’ve never read anything like this book. You think you know what's going to happen and then BAM! It was like the book just laughed in my face. I want Deb to be my new best friend and I need to go back to school, become a nurse, and meet an Avery. Just like a fairytale. lol
*deep breath* I think I may need to go for a run to release all this adrenaline I am feeling inside. Outstanding book!!!! Mind. Blown. (have I said that already?)

I've had a few days to process this now and I still have no words. This story left me speechless. My mind is blown. I connected with the characters right away and was able to get into the story easily. I was intrigued from the beginning and wanted to know what was going on, cause I had a feeling there was a huge WTF-moment just waiting to happen and I wasn't disappointed! I didn't see that coming and it had me on the edge of my seat for the last few chapters! Simply amazing!!! Congrats to both authors for working so well together!

Ummm - this will be a very hard book to recover from. I find happiness in pretty much every story I read, because in one way or another, something about it connects with me; I don't feel like I've wasted my time reading it. And then there are books like Sweet Nothing, that again remind me why I read in the first place. Why I gravitate towards certain authors. Why one day waking up and not being able to read a single word petrifies me.
