I was pretty surprised when I got this book with the variety of recipes. There are recipes for everything from beverages to breads to soups to main and side dishes to desserts. Sweet potato drinks? The recipes range from somewhat basic, standard-type to side dishes to the very exotic with a section of recipes from around the world. Some of the recipes use canned sweet potato, which is nice if you are looking to save a little time. This book seems to have enough variety that there is something in here to please everyone!

The Sweet Potato Cookbook is wonderful. Although it was rated to be in "good" condition, I thought it was in excellent shape. It's a fun book. There are many sweet potato recipes contained within that I will try. Most of the recipes are quite simple using basic ingredients. That always makes for a good cookbook when you're trying to throw together a great dish with what's in the fridge or pantry.

Canned sweet potatoes! Yuck!,

I was surprised that a lot of the recipes called for canned sweet potatoes. Those are so loaded with sugar that I would no longer consider them healthy. But there are still a lot of recipes with fresh potatoes so I still give it 3 stars. I haven't actually tried any recipes yet but I found several that I want to try.
