5.0 out of 5 stars Ever So Sweet
When "Passenger Seat" was released as a single a while back, I was so happy I could have wet myself. It was so great to have SHeDAISY back, and now that I have this lovely little CD, I don't have to wait around for the radio to play them (country radio doesn't seem to favor them as much as Strait and Jackson and the like. Damn you purist country men and your 'traditional'...

3.0 out of 5 stars What happened???
I made the mistake of listening to 'Knock on the Sky' the day before I bought this CD. I don't want to down play 'Sweet Right Here' because it is a good album, I guess I just had higher expectations. I'll go track by track and give my opinions for each song.

1. Passenger seat- 5/5. Awesome song. Everything just seems to fit... the lyrics, the music, the harmonies...

5.0 out of 5 stars Ever So Sweet, January 15, 2005
This review is from: Sweet Right Here (Audio CD)
When "Passenger Seat" was released as a single a while back, I was so happy I could have wet myself. It was so great to have SHeDAISY back, and now that I have this lovely little CD, I don't have to wait around for the radio to play them (country radio doesn't seem to favor them as much as Strait and Jackson and the like. Damn you purist country men and your 'traditional' music. ^_^) I don't think I've been this neurotically fixated on an album since Keith Urban's. All of the songs are wonderful.

"Passenger Seat" is totally fun (and true to it's name, I like this one more being played in a car.) "Come Home Soon" is beautiful, and so are the other ballads "Borrowed Home", "Without A Sound" "He's a Hero" and particularly "I Dare You." Although, my favorite ballad is "Love Goes On"--the chorus especially and the music just really grab me. The best upbeat song, and my personal favorite on the album, is "360 Degrees of You" (How many of us haven't looked at a guy and thought, "Huh, you know, I don't really know your name or anything, but you're really hot, will you marry me? And if not, can I have a picture?") "5 4 3 2 Run" contains the what I consider the funniest (though it really shouldn't be, considering what "trollop" means) line on the CD, which is "truck-stop trollop selling roses from a van for a dime" which was stuck in my head for days. "Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing" always makes me laugh. We've all got our problems, and truly the best way to deal with them is to poke fun at and laugh at them. As a total klutz to whom rather unfavorable and embarrassing things tend to happen, and as someone to whom lots of people vent their own problems, I can really relate to that one. "Blah blah blah blah blah" indeed. I admit it took me a bit to get attached to "Good Together (Bucket and Chicken)" but now I love it as well as it should be loved. And then, ah, "A Woman's Work." At the risk of sounded twisted, I really, really, really love this song, almost as much as I love "360 Degrees of You." I mean, it's a song about a (evidently) schizophrenic mass-murderer named Ruby. How freaking nifty is that, ladies and gentlemen? "Still the voices shout, take the garbage out." If nothing else you have to admire them for having the guts to cut this song, because I could see where a lot of other people would have a problem with it. I'd kind of like to see it released on radio just to see what everyone's reaction would be.

But anyway, every one of the songs are fantastic, and the songwriting is superb. As a writer/sometimes-songwriter myself, Kristyn is rapidly becoming one of my heroes. I'm always so pleased to see it when artists/groups write or co-write their own music--it makes listening to it that much more enjoyable for me, knowing it came from their own minds and souls instead of someone else's. Keep up the great work, SHeDAISY.

The Osborn Sisters have done it again. Shedaisy's third album, Sweet Right Here, is by far their best work to date. The tunes as catchy as the ones from their first album, and lyrics as mature as those on their second.

Kristyn Osborn's songs have created the signature sound for SheDaisy since their debut, but with Sweet Right Here, this talented songwriter has outdone herself. Sassy, fun songs like "360 Degrees of You" and "Good Together" showcase her creativity. More introspective songs like "Without A Sound" and "Love Goes On" give emotional weight to the album. On my favorite track is "Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing", the Osborn Sisters show us that they don't take themselves too seriously. The song playfully refers to events that have occurred in the girls lives since their last release of an album.

The track "He's A Hero", written by Kristyn when she was 18, gives us a look back into her songwriting beginnings. Even then, she was expertly crafting lyrics that touch the heart and make you smile.

I would definitely recommend this album to country fans who like beautiful voices and creative songs. I hope Shedaisy keeps releasing albums like this. It has already become a staple of my CD collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars what i was looking for, December 19, 2004
This review is from: Sweet Right Here (Audio CD)
I heard the song come home soon on the radio when I went home for thanksgiving from overseas. I listened forever to figure out who sang it. That song is the greatest song I have heard. I am a military spouse whose husband is deployed for the year and when I heard that song it was about me and my life. when I finished listening to it I had tears running down my face. Thanks to amazon i finally found the cd . I miss my husband dearly and constantly wonder if he is ok and what he is doing I am so proud of him .That song pretty much tells what you feel like sometimes as a military spouse and I thank Shedaisy for writing that song.

5.0 out of 5 stars SWEET RIGHT HERE IS PERFECTION!!!!!, June 9, 2004
This review is from: Sweet Right Here (Audio CD)
Finally SHEDAISY puts out an album with every track commanding the attention of their listeners.....there are upbeat and quirky (PASSENGER SEAT, GOOD TOGETHER) and some great ballads (LOVE GOES ON and COME HOME SOON).....and if you bought it at Target, like I did, there are two additional tracks not found anywhere else (WHOSE LIFE AM I IN and SHAME) which are really good!!!! Their voices sound better than ever and this cd is a lot of fun if you enjoy just great country/pop....whatever you call it......I call it GREAT MUSIC!!!!!

1. Passenger seat- 5/5. Awesome song. Everything just seems to fit... the lyrics, the music, the harmonies.
2. 5 4 3 2 Run- 2/5. Nothing too special about this one. As a matter of fact I'd consider it a filler song.
3. 360° of you- 5/5. Very cute. I love songs like this one
4. Love goes on- 4/5. I really like everything about this song, but there is something missing. I'm not sure what it is though.
5. I dare you- 4/5. Another good song with something missing in it. I love the line I dare you to want to be good to me.
6. Good together- 5/5. The chorus sounds so good. The lyrics and music really do go good together.
7. Please come home- 5/5. Beautiful song!! You can relate this song to so many different situations and I think that makes the song great.
8. Don't worry about a thing- 3/5. This is a take it or leave it song. It doesn't make the CD better with it on and it wouldn't make the CD worse without it. It has a nice sound but nothing to rave about.
9. Without a sound- 3/5. I think this song is too slow for me, and the lyrics are too repetitive. This is my least favorite ballad.
10. Borrowed home- 5/5. I love the sound of this song!!!
11. A woman's work- 4/5. I like the sound of it, but the lyrics are too weird for me. I'm not even sure I understand what the song is about.
12. He's a Hero- 4/5. Aww this song makes me sad for some reason. It's cute.. touching.. and sad at the same time.

Overall opinion: I've been a SHeDAISY fan since the beginning and I'll be a fan till the end. That being said I gotta say that I was a bit disappointed when I heard this CD. Maybe the problem is that 'Knock on the Sky' was such an amazing CD that nothing can compare to it... at least not this CD.

This cd is no different than any of their others....all sorts of great songs on it! My favorite and the main reason I had to have this one is Come Home Soon...very touching song - I can listen to it over and over!! If you've never heard anything by SheDaisy I recommend this one and The Whole Shebang!

I heard SHeDAISY on my local country station about a year and a half ago promoting Sweet Right Here and that following weekend (on a whim) I was driving up to the cabin and swung on in to a CD store and picked it up. I have not stopped listening since! I love love LOVE this CD! I rolled the windows down and sang my little heart out (must have had 360' of You on repeat for at least half of the trip). If you are looking for a sweet country girl band that has some depth, some spunk and some REAL talent then this is it. Perfect for any moment, but most ideally suited for summer with girlfriends and margaritas out on the deck!
Voices, harmonies, lyrics, music, it is all fantastic! I listened in the car all the time, cleaning the house on the weekends. SHeDAISY is thoughtful and funny and so uplifting. I hadn't listened to the CD for a few months and now in the dead of winter (snow and gloom) I heard Passenger Seat on the radio and I was almost giddy! They are coming to play at a casino this May and you'd better believe that I am already in line for tickets! Get the CD- you will not be sorry!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Right Here, August 11, 2004
This review is from: Sweet Right Here (Audio CD)
After their second album KNOCK ON THE SKY flopped, The Osborn sisters are back with a new album called SWEET RIGHT HERE. The first single is the bubbly and catchy ditty "Passenger Seat", which was a top 10 hit. The second single is the touching, but sad ballad "Come Home Soon", about being the wife of a soldier who is fighting the war. There's a good balance of catchy songs, and heartfelt ballads. My favorite ballads include "I Dare You" and "Without A Sound", which both should be singles. "5 4 3 2 Run" and "360 of You" are fun uptempo songs, so is "Don't Worry Bout A Thing", which has a positive message. Overall a pretty good album, they should have more success with this one.

Sweet Right Here is yet another incredible album by these very talented ladies. I found an on-line pre-release listening party (CMT.com) that let me preview the album so for the last two weeks, it has been playing non-stop at my office and at home as we do work around the house. The kids and I have been eagerly awaiting the release of the CD in the stores. This morning, I told the kids I'd pick it up today and we'd be able to listen to it in the car (FINALLY!) I can say without a doubt that the girls have done it again... they just keeping getting better and better! There are catchy little "gotta dance to this one" songs as well as ballads that once again tell stories straight from the heart! Kristyn is just an incredibly talented writer. Kassidy has so much expression in her voice and with Kelsi and Kristyn bringing in harmonies the songs really do come to life! It is just as hard to pick a favorite from this album as it has been previously but so far I adore the whimisical tune and words of 360 degrees of you... absolutely too cute! 5 4 3 2 Run and Don't Worry 'Bout a Thing are also very catchy. Love Goes On, I Dare You, Come Home Soon, Without a Sound... all are amazing songs that will surely touch your heart and soul! I luckily bought the Target version which has two bonus tracks, Whose Life Am I In and Shame. Two more great songs especially Whose Life Am I In! I know I've asked myself that question a few times! Now, I just wish these amazing women would do some touring on the east coast so I can see them perform live!
