This review is from: Sweet and Savoury Malay Kuih (Celebrity Chefs Cookbooks) (Paperback)
If you love Malay kuih and enjoy finding out some of their history....this is an excellent book that you'll refer to time and again.
For readers not residing in Malaysia, they may run into some problems with regard to food names and cooking methods, e.g. cornflour is really cornstarch (in the US); tapioca flour can be substituted by cornstarch; alkali water is not sold in the US and should be omitted, etc. |
