A must for Maria's fans,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sweet & Slow (Audio CD)
This album's had a pretty low profile since its release, but it's an absolutely superb piece of work that ranks with Maria's first three solo albums: "Maria Muldaur", "Waitress in the Donut Shop", and the unfortunately out-of-print "Sweet Harmony". The arrangements on this one are stripped down to bass, piano and drums for the most part, but Maria's musical sensibilities are as sassy, swinging, funky and sultry as can be. No fan of Maria's should overlook "Sweet and Slow".

simply classy,

Immaculate laid back piano playing, perfectly complementing Maria Muldaur's wonderful voice, raunchy and tender by turns. Fab.

A Little-Known Gem,
By
This review is from: Sweet & Slow (Audio CD)
Like Maria Muldaur herself, this CD has been neglected over the years. But that doesn't take away from the fact that this is a first-rate effort, one that deserves to be better known. Starting off with the sweetly comic "Cooking Breakfast With the One I Love," Maria explores all the colors of her wonderful voice.
