5.0 out of 5 stars The Sweet Spot is a Sweet Read, December 29, 2011

This review is from: The Sweet Spot in Time: The Search for Athletic Perfection (Paperback)
If you are an athlete, coach or parent, you have wondered why some days are great and on some days, you'd love a mulligan. John Jerome breaks it down for you. Jerome writes from a personal point of view with concision, humor, precision and scientifically accurate prose. (Alert - his book was written thirty-some years ago. Some of the science has been disproven with further research but in the main, it is still accurate).
Jerome's thesis is simple - all sports are levers moving through arcs. How Jerome elucidates his thesis, via chemistry, physiology, physics, psychology; informs and entertains. Should be required reading for every coach and athlete. A complex theme perfectly explained in a way that any intelligent person over age 16 can enjoy.
