This book is a follow up book to their previous book -- also a 5-star worthy book. However if you are in the mood to embroider hearts and fairy dust, this encyclopedic book is just the thing. If you are a novice, the first 20 pages contains an excellent introduction. If you are already handy with a needle, these how-to pages serve as a good review. The rest of the 240 pages is well organized into chapters containing charming patterns of 1) Hearts 2) Angels, fairies, etc 3)
Teddies, 4)Earth and Sky and 5) Letters. Most of the pages contain more than one pattern or variations on a theme. In addition, the authors provide many ideas for applying the designs, so that you are not faced with 200 wall hangings. Using both cross-stitch and traditional embrodery you will find an abundance of options. Everything from sweet pillow cases to a 'green' alphabet for a pre-schooler's room to sweet little bags to hold treasures from a wedding. All-in-all this is a book that could easily replace 20 other books in my craft library and still have designs and ideas to spare -- all in one book

If you are an embroidery or cross stitch aficionado, you'll find tons of ideas in Sweet Stitches from the Heart. Or, if you'd like to learn, they also walk you through all the basic stitches. There are also lots of suggestions for ways to apply these cute, little embellishments. Plain shirts, pillow cases or even a cell phone case are turned into keepsakes with these adorable, modern motifs. You can even add these pretty details on things like lampshades and backpacks. Fairies, cupids, hearts, butterflies, strawberries and angel wings are just a few of the beautiful suggestions in Sweet Stitches from the Heart. There are more than nine hundred motifs with over seventy project ideas to make something that will be appreciated for many years.

Beautiful designs especially the monochromatic ones. I love the cross stitch ones. And the photography is very good. Love it
