4.0 out of 5 stars Great! If the passengers lie on the floor
My daughter was very excited to get the bus. Now she had a way to get all her Sweet Street kids to school. The only problem (and it is more an issue with my wife and I than my daughter) is that none of the people sit in the seats very well. This instant the bus moves everyone falls over

Like I said, it doesn't seem to bother my daughter.

3.0 out of 5 stars How many levels of marketing approved this?
I bought this as part of our Sweet Streets collection because my daughter wanted to have a little boy to use in the houses as "the brother" (most come only with little girls). Had I looked more closely at the other figures, I would not have bought it. The set comes with three white schoolchildren and a black adult labeled as a crossing guard/bus driver. We work hard to...

I saw this in the store and knew that I had to get this for my 3 year old daughter. She loves playing with vehicles and she is loving these small dollhouses that we can take anywhere. Now, she will have the vehicle and her small dollhouse fun! These Sweet Streets houses, people, and vehicles are all very durable. I gave them 5 stars for educational because they get to see that they are part of a community by all the little homes and shops. It also helps my daughter to act out some of her feelings in her fantasy world. My daughter spends hours playing with the Sweet Streets stuff. I love it because it is compact, portable, fairly inexpensive, not a lot of pieces, and everything comes with the item that you purchased. No extra accessories are needed. You can start with anyone of them and still have tons of fun The bus is easy for her little hands to manipulate and adds to her collection. I am trying to keep this a secret but I am letting you all in on it! It is definitely worth buying it! Do it now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Better Than I Expected, January 9, 2004

I was relectant to purchase this bus because I really wanted one with an opening door and at the time there was no "From the Manufacturer" statement which confirmed this. I was pleased that BOTH the side door and emergency door open. I was also pleased that the doors have not come loose and are more durable than I would have expected.

I would like to add that my 5 year old twin girls do prefer the "Sweet Streets Horse & Carriage" over the bus - but not by much.

My daughters (4 and 3) have the school house and this was a great addition to that as now they have more "students" to attend the school. They enjoy role playing as they are both excited about going to school when they are old enough.

As with all the Sweet Streets sets we have found them to be extremely durable and easy to keep clean and wonderfully affordable and portable.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!!!, October 16, 2005

We have collected the entire set (original color scheme) over the last 3 years. It started with my now 7 yo daughter (who still loves it), and now my almost 3 yo son loves them too! They will sometimes even fight over them! They have been EXTREMELY durable, especially because my son love to open and close all the doors and sometimes pulls them off. I am so glad they snap on and off easily and don't break. If this can survive my son, they can survive anything! We will save it all for my 3 month old daughter to play with when she gets older. Fisher Price is just the best, and I cannot find one thing negative to say about Sweet Streets.

My two daughters, ages six and three, love the Sweet Streets toys, and I am very pleased with them also. We have the town house, school, and bus. (The hospital is next to be purchased.) All are extremely durable and provide hours of imaginative play. They are easily transported, too, which is terrific when you need a take along toy. I recommend this brand wholeheartedly.

My daughter will sit for a long time happily playing with her Sweet Streets playsets. It is an awesome toy to develop imaginative play and it is fun (for the parent) to sit and watch how her little mind works. I must say that I like the old style Sweet Streets better than the new color scheme that they have come out with.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great toy - and the black kid is NOT the bus driver!, March 16, 2005
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Sweet Streets School Bus (Toy)
I had to laugh when I read the other reviews about the black bus driver and how this promotes racial division, stereotyping, etc.

If you look at him closely, you will see that he is a CROSSING GUARD and has on an orange vest...not a bus driver! He is the same size as the other kids -- thus NOT a bus driver.

My daughter, age 3, loves this bus and puts the people (crossing guard and all) in through the door, but out through the top. :-)

Overall, a great toy for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars fun, but flawed, November 29, 2005

It's true, the people cannot stay in their seats while riding the bus! Maybe if the seats had sides that came up a bit, or if the people's knees bent... oh well. My daughter didn't like the fact that they always fell off the seats, so she transports other toys in the bus now and plays with the people elsewhere!
