I loved this book! I collect cookbooks, but most times I do not use them. I hate to admit that, but in order for you to understand what an impact this novel had on me, I wanted you to know this about me. Sweet Sunshine Cookbook is most definitely a book I will be turning to time and again. Not only will I go to it to read the many decadent and delicious sounding recipes, but for the stories alone. On top of that, all of the proceeds are going to a special cause. You cannot go wrong by picking this cookbook up!

This book is well worth the money, especially since all gains are awarded a worthy cause. I already tried three recepies, and they were absolutely great. The lovely pictures, the memories, and the stories turn this book into something more than "just" a cookbook. It's a great gift for all those who love cooking.

In the interest of self-disclosure, this book contains a recipe and short story donated by me, but I receive absolutely no profits from the sale of this book - all proceeds go to a very worthy charity. Having clarified that - and aside from my own contributions - I must say this is one of the cutest cookbooks I've ever seen, with some absolutely delicious recipes, adorable illustrations, and touching stories. This book is a perfect gift not only for those who love to cook, but especially for those looking for fun (and delicious) shared family activities and experiences.

This cook book is sweet in two ways: great dessert recipes AND sweet, heartwarming stories that go along with each recipe. I loved reading all the wonderful childhood memories of baking by the authors. It's so nice to know such bonds were formed in their families through baking together. I am really looking forward to trying all these yummy recipes out! And the proceeds go to a wonderful cause. It would make a wonderful gift to share.

When you want to give a special gift for a birthday, bridal shower, Christmas, or any holiday, the Sweet Sunshine cookbook would be the perfect choice. There is a wonderful assortment of recipes. It's not the regular cookbook because unique and heartwarming memories are shared with the recipes. I found it enjoyable to read personal childhood experiences from cooking with a relative and how much it meant to each author. Cooking together develops close relationships that will last a lifetime. In our busy world, it's nice to take time to enjoy family time in the kitchen. I also like that there are places for you to write your recipes. If the book is given as a gift, you can make it personal by adding a few of your favorite recipes to share.

I bought the book because it's a great cause, but now I plan to buy several for Christmas gifts. The recipes are simple enough for my nephew the budding chef but good enough for anyone to make and enjoy and the other features are lots of fun!

How can you go wrong with chocolate frog macaroons, magnificent marble fudge, and dreamsickle cake? All the recipes are family specialities so you know they taste great.
I enjoyed the recipes, the old timey pictures and remembrances of cooking when the contributors were children, and also the lovely short stories at the end of the book. The illustrations are adorable line drawings and the print is large enough that I can read it without my glasses - lots of bonuses here.
