4.0 out of 5 stars Simply heart warming story about risks, trust and love., September 25, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Sweet Surrender (Arabesque) (Paperback)
This one was truly a winner. Started out on a bit of a slow pace, then there were the unexpected turn of events that just keeps you reading on. It's really great to see the risks Hayden was willing to take to save her family, and really heartwarming the way they fell in love with each other, after a relationship that started under pretense.

In an attempt to help her sick father, Hayden Campbell seeks out the help of Health Commissioner Cannon Factor. Cannon is a very ambitious man who has a playboy image. He and Hayden fall in love after she agrees to marry him-- in name only. The story that follows is a tale of two people in a romance that started within a whirldwind of turmoil. I think that this book is very interesting and I thourghly enjoyed reading it.

I liked Hayden Campbell and her desire to help her father get the best possible medical care. When she first agreed to marry a man she hardly knew, I thought she was kind of crazy.

Cannon Factor was a very intelligent man with a goal to help the public better themselves. Someone was trying to ruin his reputation. He thought by marrying Hayden that would calm some of the rumors down. He didn't expect to fall in love with this fiesty young woman.

Hayden complimented Cannon very well. She was head strong and outgoing. Someone a person in public office would need by their side. I am glad they fell in love and pursued it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surrendering to the sweet love, February 23, 1999

This review is from: Sweet Surrender (Arabesque) (Paperback)
Two thumbs up for this wonderful story about two successful african-americans, who can't help but to surrender to the power of love. Beautiful Hayden Campbell seeks drop dead gorgeous Cannon Factor's help locating assistance for her ailing father. Cannon doesn't know at the time but he needs Hayden's help just as much to tone down his playboyish persona. Check it out for yourself, I urgently await the next novel by Ms. Winters.
