a great cd and even better performer, November 3, 2005

I just met Sarah when she played in Flagstaff, Arizona recently. She was touring with her other band, echoset, and man do they rip. If you ever get the chance to them or sarah's band live jump at the opportunity. I've seen a lot of shows but these 3 girls and a guy drummer blew me away. Sarah also played a couple of her solo songs that night and let me say she is an amazing guitar player.
So I photographed the show for them and Sarah was nice enough to give me her new cd and an echoset ep for the favor. Her cd is great, the song "Could I Should I" has been stuck in my head for weeks and the album has great flow. It is definitely an album that stands up from start to finish and that is becoming extremely rare these days. The other songs that really stand out are "Don't Say No" and the title track "To Sweeten Up." Also the fact that Sarah produced the album is extremely impressive, especially after listening to the quality of the recording. Don't hesistate to buy this disc and support a great up and coming artist.
