5.0 out of 5 stars The Sweetest Song, June 8, 2005
This review is from: Sweetest Day (Audio CD)
This song originally aired in Detroit as the next song from Charm Farm, but it was released by Control Freq. It took me many, many months to find it. The simple beauty and heart in the words and music of The Sweetest Day makes it well worth any price. My husband and I love the song so much, we consider it to be "Our Song."

Great EP, title track is wonderful almost Iggy Pop style vocals, very romantic, earthy. Other tracks are kinda Techno and GOOD. You put this in the cd player and you will hit the "repeat all" button.

4.0 out of 5 stars Eclectic EP, July 15, 2008
This review is from: Sweetest Day (Audio CD)
Control Freq is the moniker for Dennis White aka Static Revenger, Charm Farm, and much more. This is a brilliant CD. The title track is timeless. Even though I purchased this CD in 1999 the sound is still fresh. Each song is unique. "Do you fear me?" is a very dark and eerie tune but works really well. "We accept you" is very funky. "Satellite" is a very low down tempo song. "Welcome to the Freq Show" is a funky and mash up sort of tune. However, "Sweetest Day" is a superb song both musically and lyrically. This EP is highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars The most beautiful love song I have ever heard, November 9, 1999
By
Michael Jazayeri (Southern California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sweetest Day (Audio CD)
I heard "The Sweetest Day" by accident while listening to KCRW, a pulbic radio station in Southern CA. It brought tears to my eyes. The artist's voice conveys much history about this song: an old love, which he has lost, or perhaps a current one which he has "captured" with this song. This song transcends all musical tastes.

Satellite is another good song on this EP. It is atomospheric and suits the lyrics well.

I did not care much for the rest of the songs.

Would I recommend this EP? YOU BET! "The Sweetest Day" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. It is the best 10 bucks you will ever spend!

This is one of those songs that makes you wonder.
The where it was written, what time of day, or how
long did it take? Why? Simply because it is one of
the best songs ever written, sung, and recorded for
us to enjoy. Listen to this song, and you'll find
your solace.
