Ten stars!! After some repair to my sewer, the gas smell coming from my roof was overpowering (it used to sneak out somewhere else). I could barely walk out my door. I had the gas company come out, because I couldn't even imagine what could smell that awful, but they said no gas could be found except from my sewer vent. My plumber said he knew someone who had tried this unit, so I tried it. Within minutes of installing it, the smell was gone. I was fairly desperate, and didn't know what to do. This was a simple and inexpensive solution to a very foul problem.

It did what the ad said it would. Was a good solution to the problem I had.

After a year of sewer gas odor and little response from the town of Sturbridge we can now sit outside in our gazebo and enjoy the fresh breezes of summer. Since installing the Sewer Oder Sweetfilter there has been no offensive sewer odor and my neighbor has also installed one eliminating their oder problems.
It will be interesting to see how long this product stands up to the amount of odor vapor I have seen exiting the vent pipe.

We had a bad odor problem in our home. Everytime some one took a shower with hot water, you could smell the gas outside the home, especially on the deck in the back. It was impossible to entertain, without worrying that some one may use the bathroom and we would start smelling the embarrassing gas again.

This product works like magic and it works instantly. We installed two of these beauties on our vents and the problem dissapeared instantly. No more smell, no more embarrassment.

Product arrived quickly, installed easily on my 4" stack and so far...no more stinky! That's all I was looking for, so I'm happy.

After having a new home built we have had to deal with the very unpleasant odor from our roof vent for 3 years now, even after raisng the stack when we paid a plumber to investigate, and called in the septic installer, we still had the horrible odor. I saw this item one day when I was surfing for possible causes and solutions and to my delite it was available on Amazon so after reading the most helpful reviews I ordered it, it came about 10 days sooner than the estimate which was my 1st surprise, then it was very easy to install and ever since I have not even caught a whiff of any unpleasant odor in my back yard !!! I cant rate this item high enough and the seller was awesome as well, if you have any odor problem, dont waste money on a plumber, just buy this simple to install solution, now if anytime in the future I come across that odor I will update my review but I can tell you that it smells country fresh in our yard for now !!! Wish I had seen this years ago.

UPDATE: 2012 1 year later we still have not had 1 single episode of odor, I am thinking maybe I should go ahead and order a refill just incase it becomes unavailable, you know how it goes, you find something that actually works then they take it off the market. 10 star plus rating deserved on this product. Dont pay a plumber to waste your money just buy this and you have just fixed your issue and money will be well spent!!

We moved into our new house, and were confused for weeks about the horrible odor that we would smell every once in a while when walking up to our front door.
It was bad, we thought it was propane, but it smelled much worse. After talking to the previous owner, they said "oh that's just septic gas."
Just septic gas? Really? They had been living with the awful stench coming from the roof vent for 17 years!

I was very sceptical that this product would work, but it was cheap enough to give it a try.

I installed it four weeks ago, and love the fact that the outdoors smells like it should, instead of like...well, you know.

Great product, definitely the most inexpensive filter of its sort. It WORKS. Highly recommended!

We've owned two houses, and in both houses, we've needed to address septic odor problems that occur outside the house. It's no fun to be having dinner on your patio, only to have nasty septic odors wafting around your nose. So, we tried this, and it works like a charm. It's been in place for several years in our one home, and it's still working.
