4.0 out of 5 stars OK for what it is December 14, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
A lot of people were upset by how short this is. It's true. But having checked in advance, it didn't really bother me to pay a buck or two to be entertained for a half-hour. Not a bad little story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweetheart in High Heels January 3, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Gemma Halliday writes this series, which is just one of the funniest, fastest moving, and greatest reads!!! I rate this as high or higher than any of the Jan "E" books. These are so funny, but the characters don't get lost in the same old same old ruts. The ending is always a surprise....which I love in a mystery.

4.0 out of 5 stars really good short read!! September 11, 2012
By Milly
Format:Kindle Edition
A sassy & upbeat FUN murder mystery as likeable wife Maddie tries to solve her detective husband's murder case behind his back in the hopes of finally spending quality anniversary time together because he is always being dragged away from her on a case. This has all the ingredients of a full length novel, it is not high tension and suspense, but instead, condensed into a snappy and perky short mystery story which was very enjoyable to read and left this reader feeling satisfied at the end.
I have no problem recommending this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny if a little short! January 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a really short story but is worth the price if you are looking for a Maddie fix. I'm not a big fan of her husband but the story was cheap so I can't really complain.

4.0 out of 5 stars It was cute October 14, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I love Gemma Halliday and her High Heels Mysteries series but even though this story was cute, it was way too short to feel satisfying. I'm still gonna be a fan. Hopefully the next one is better. The four stars is because I love the way she writes. I'm ready for the next book in the series.
