About the Brand

Gilbert, Arizona-based Wisdom Natural Brands is the parent company of three highly respected consumer brands: SweetLeaf Stevia, Wisdom of the Ancients Yerba Mate, and Sweet and Slender Natural Sweetener. James May, the founder of Wisdom Natural Brands, was involved in bringing stevia to the United States more than 20 years ago. The company is now the leading US manufacturer of stevia and offers a full line of SweetLeaf Stevia products. They are available in convenient single-serve packets, liquid, powder, tabs and concentrate, including their best-selling product, SweetLeaf SteviaPlus, which was developed by James’ son, Steve. Together, this father-and-son team has introduced millions of people in North America to stevia.

Derived from the naturally sweet rainforest herb stevia rebaudiana native to Paraguay, stevia has zero calories, chemicals, carbohydrates, and a zero glycemic index, making it a smart addition to beverages, cereals and other dishes, and increasing popular among consumers. At a time when producers and consumer are increasing drawn to products that claim to be all-natural, low calorie, and low in carbs, stevia has caught the eye of health-conscious consumers. It has been around for centuries and is just now becoming the rage with the sugar-shunning crowd, in part because of the popularity of low-carbohydrate, high-protein diets that discourage sweets.

Product Description

All natural, zero calories. SweetLeaf liquid stevia with all natural flavors is convenient and easy to use. As a supplement, add nutritious stevia to water, tea, coffee, milk, sparkling water, protein shakes, plain yogurt or anything else you can imagine. Zero carbohydrates. Zero glycemic index. The Vanilla Creme liquid stevia has become a staple in my home and an additional bottle for my fridge at work. I drink it everyday because it makes plain refrigerated tap water go down without effort. This flavor reminds me ever so slightly of an Ice Cream Snow Ball and has lessened my sweet cravings. One drop to 2 ounces of water goes quite a long ways. It's amazing! Since the larger 2oz bottles must be stored in the fridge (preserved with natural grapeseed extract), I keep the tiny 4pk tin in my purse for on the road convenience. Stevia Travel Tin 4 Flavors - 6 ml - Liquid [...]

YOU ONLY NEED ONE DROP...count it - ONE. Maybe two in a large portion of anything. It flavors...more than sweetens (hard to describe) like sugar - but it is more of an after taste of sweetness...which is not bad...give it a try - especially if you need to avoid sugar. It is really different, but good different - use a light hand and you won't be sorry. Use too much and you'll get too much sweetness - I guarantee. Good for diabetics or people who want to avoid sugar. Great in tea or coffee or anything. I even put in in cottage cheese. The possibilities are endless. If deciding to cook with it - do look up how to do that - I do not know.

This is a great product. If you dislike plain water, as I do, you'll find this item makes drinking water a breeze. It is also good as a sweetner for coffee or tea. While I like Vanilla Creme best, all the flavors are excellent. It is really just a question of preferred taste. I also enjoyed chocolate raspberry and english toffee.

Hi, my husband and I tried Stevia to use in our coffee as a sugar substitute and we didn't like it. It made our coffee have a weird taste and smell. It also left a weird aftertaste in our mouths when we were done. We decided to use Agave Nectar instead and we like that much better. It's cheaper too.

I've always heard that Stevia has been used for hundreds of years with no ill side effects, so I was very interested to try it... especially when I started making my own yogurt, and would do anything to get my toddler to eat it! I did some research and found that the SweetLeaf brand was supposed to be the best, as far as extraction methods and experience. I got a bottle of the Vanilla Creme, and also the plain, and added it to our yogurt. It was fantastic! We all loved it, and the toddler begged for more. I was so relieved to have found a great way to reduce the sugar in our diets and still have such a great sweet taste. It was perfect, I was happy. But then, strange symptoms started to surface. At first I got headaches, which became increasingly severe, and then backaches that felt like spinal 'brain freeze' (when you eat something too cold too fast.) It didn't occur to me at first that it could be at all related to the new Stevia. Then my toddler started telling me he was itchy all over. Then I got my menstrual cycle 2 weeks early. Finally it dawned on me that it could be related to the Stevia since this was the only thing at all that had changed in our diets. I googled 'adverse reactions to Stevia' and found several webpages where people described symptoms identical to mine. I was truly shocked. I stopped the Stevia... all the symptoms went away almost immediately. I realize now that there is a difference between the flavored liquid Stevia, which contains a 'proprietary blend' and 'natural flavors' (which could mean anything) and just the straight powder with nothing added (I haven't tried that, but won't now.) It also occurs to me that maybe the only Stevia that can truly be considered historically safe is the actual leaf itself, straight off the plant out of the garden.Read more ›

I use this product with my plain yogurt and add some fresh fruit, thus avoiding the " fruit " yogurts that have artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup. For those concerned with calories and sugars, this is a pleasant alternative.

I am happy to have found out about this product. I have been using it for about 2 years and it is delicious in coffee .... my children love to put it in their soy milk ;) The unflavored liquid Stevia is also great - for baking, etc. The product is also great for those of us that have food allergies. I have a problem with sugars and this product has allowed me to enjoy my coffee again!

I found Vanilla Crème Liquid Stevia to be a great alternative for sugar and sugar substitutes. It does have a different sweetness taste, which may take a few tries to get used to. I have been using it for over a year in my coffee, and am still pleased with the taste. Amazon's pricing is fantastic on this item, for the health food store was charging $14 per bottle. I look forward to trying some of the other flavors since I have enjoyed this one so much!
