4.0 out of 5 stars Sweetly Worshipful
Vineyard has been a staple in the field of modern worship since the 90's, and often a leader in the introduction of talented new worship leaders {or at least new to the masses}. Released in 2006, this 12 song collection sways from the established {such as Rita Springer} to fresh new voices.

The track listing:

Sweetly Broken - Jeremy Riddle...

3.0 out of 5 stars Vineyard Music Fans
This is a CD that Vineyard Music released in 2006. It is a great CD. The reason that I bought it is because Rita Springer sings "If You Say Go". I am a big Rita fan. I think this song is one of her best songs recorded. Their are others from this album that I really like as well. I don't think you will be disapointed by this CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweetly Worshipful, October 10, 2011

Vineyard has been a staple in the field of modern worship since the 90's, and often a leader in the introduction of talented new worship leaders {or at least new to the masses}. Released in 2006, this 12 song collection sways from the established {such as Rita Springer} to fresh new voices.

The track listing:

Sweetly Broken - Jeremy Riddle
Bless His Name - Tony Sanchez
We Need Your Touch - Crispin Schroeder
Oh Lord My Shepherd Be - Billy Somerville
What Can I Bring - Jeremy Riddle
If You Say Go - Rita Springer
Better Than Life - Ryan Delmore
I Will Trust You - Chris Lizotte
Fraction Anthem - Billy Somerville & Jaime Eichler
My Redeemer - Ryan Delmore
Fill Me Now - Cameron Denzen Hammon
Have Your Way - Charlie Hines

This is not your normal corporate worship. Their is plenty of guitar work, but more often than not the music is slowly building, introspective, contemplative, a bit dreamy -- nothing loud or rowdy here.

Standouts:

"Sweetly Broken," probably the best known, is a beautiful song about coming to a place of total surrender to Christ. Delmore's "My Redeemer" would be a good fit for fans of Poco or Alison Krauss, and has grown into one of my favorites. "Fraction Anthem" has a slow, jangly, ethereal feel which drifts into a refrain of Hallelujah's. "Bless His Name" is near perfect modern worship. Without a doubt the song that has become one of my favorite songs ever is Springer's "If You Say Go." This is music powerful enough to open the floodgates of tears as you get lost in total worship -- a song beyond superlatives.

Most of the rest are solid tracks as well. Usually, collections such as this will have one or two songs that are forgettable enough to skip over, but there is not a stinker among these 12 cuts. Another winner from Vineyard.

It's good. I like it, but it's not my favorite and hasn't kept my interest for long. Although, I do get bored easily with most Christian music.
