A Riveting Novel!, March 1, 2009
This review is from: Sweetpea's Secret (Paperback)
Sweetpea is a mortgage broker by day and a successful hitman by night. But one of his jobs hit too close to home when Sweetpea finds out that a long time gangster named Big Ed Tatum has two sons that are alive and well. Sweetpea thought that he was done with Big Ed after he killed him, but now his sons are picking up where he left off. Sweetpea has to get rid of these two drug-dealing gangsters...but at what cost? With bodies piling up and the police breathing down his neck, Sweetpea has to finish this last job fast or risk going to jail or death.
Sweetpea's Secret is a riveting novel by Renay Jackson. Jackson expertly pulls the reader into the life of Sweetpea. Although the main character has a dubious profession, you will find yourself rooting for Sweetpea throughout this book. Jackson does such a good job of painting the picture of each scene that you'll feel like you're there. This story is filled with heart-stopping action and emotional family drama that will keep readers glued to the pages. Sweetpea's Secret is an action packed page-turner that will leave you begging for more books by Renay Jackson.

Wicked Sweetpea (token), September 30, 2008
This review is from: Sweetpea's Secret (Paperback)
There's mysterious deaths that keep popping up and noone feels safe because everyone is a victime for a hitman named Sweetpea. Big Ed Tatum, one of Sweetpea's clients, thought he was safe from the wrath because he dated Sweetpea's oldest Sister Crystal until he almost killed Sweetpea's youngest sister Peanut, and then it becomes deadly consequences. Eventually, Sweetpea will meet his fate from the start of the killings and the hunter now becomes the hunted. I would say I enjoyed this read, there was alot of suspense and humor, Eventhough, I didn't care too much for Renay Jackson's last book "Peanut's Revenge", I have to say in Sweetpea's Secret the author comes back bigger and harder in this one. An enjoyment for everyone to read.

SWEETPEA'S SECRET, May 4, 2010
This review is from: Sweetpea's Secret (Paperback)
Now that was a book to read. I enjoyed Sweetpea's secret more than I did the last four books. This book was on and poppin. How could an uncle kill his nephew is beyond me, but I guess you kill first or be killed. This book was tight. Im about to read the last book. I hope there will be more to come. Boy was these books a great read.
