5.0 out of 5 stars Took me back
I remember going to their concert back in the day. They opened for Iron Butterfly and they got so many encores. They blew everyone away. Iron Butterfly played twice as good as usual to make up for it and also blew everyone away. It was so sad when they got into the car accident. They were on their way to stardom.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Little Hokey But Fun
If you are not put off by the hokum these folks were unafraid to incorporate into their songs at times, this is quite an enjoyable album by a sixties band with a lot of promise with a career cut short by tragedy. If you are not put off by the hokum these folks were unafraid to incorporate into their songs at times, this is quite an enjoyable album by a sixties band with a lot of promise with a career cut short by tragedy. Much has been made of their appointed slot to open Woodstock in '69, which they sacrificed to Mr. Havens, but that's neither here nor there. (Sha Na Na might have been given the opening slot at Woodstock, and that would prove...what?) This is mostly very mellow, very groovy stuff, sometimes too groovy for its own good, but the real thing, and it should be appreciated for being the real thing. If lyrics like "I'm in a rainbow and I'm feeling mighty good" don't make you cringe, add a star. There's some really good music on this, to be sure.
