4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Good Read - M/M short story December 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Usually you see freebies, you get a 50/50 chance it's crap, or pure smut...not with this story. Tait is gay and not very social. He's invited to an after work social gathering at a bar where he's told there are some potential gay single guys attending this social gathering as well. To his surprise he meets Jude. And Jude's more than what meets the eye.

The story is not paranormal, just pure cute honest to goodness great writing. It is very short but it does not deter from the story this author is trying to get across. I will definitely look for more from this author. Left me in a happy mood

4.0 out of 5 stars As lovely as her other shorts are December 18, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have read this writer's works before and when I saw one of hers being free of course I snatched it up on Amazon. She writes really well, her characters stay with you for some time and you want to believe that they may have some good things in the store for them in the future despite the fact that their relationship just started.

1.0 out of 5 stars lackluster February 5, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
So basically, nothing happened. Nothing happens
And then in the end they order a pizza and nothing happens. I really think it was a waste.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well written 'scene' December 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I didn't realize how short it was until it ended but it was a very well written...scene. It could probably be labeled as a chapter but a well written chapter. I would have loved to have at least one more chapter since it really just hinted about what was to come. But, it was exciting and well written.

1.0 out of 5 stars What? March 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
The book was boring, the characters not interesting, and the story was unoriginal. In all, not worth the time to read.

Very quick read but I found myself totally invested in the characters. I wish there was a second chapter so we can see what happens next!

4.0 out of 5 stars Short, sweet read
Cute little story without a great deal of depth; it held my attention and while I certainly wouldn't mind more, I don't feel completely cheated by where it left off. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars i must have missed something......
What was the purpose of putting those words together? This paragraph has no meaning. This should really be made unavailable so no one else should waste their time.

More About the Author

Pender Mackie lives in Canada though she spent her childhood years in England. An imaginative child, Pender wasn't a willing student and didn't learn to read until her father, deciding some incentive was needed, promised her a pony as soon as she could read the newspaper.

Properly motivated, Pender picked up a book and discovered the joys of fiction. Though her infatuation with ponies didn't last, she still loves a good story. When she's not doing what seems like endless laundry, she's busy coaxing another story into shape.
