4.0 out of 5 stars DriverDiary October 3, 2012

I found this to be a little difficult to use at first. I couldn't get my data to stay, but I think it was my not being familiar with it. Once I got everything set up and used it a few times it got easier and my first problems became nonexistant. I am well pleased with it now.

I have always kept track of my mileage, but only on a week to week basis. This gives me a chance to see a history of my mileage, services and any other work done on my car. Really easy to use... looks great too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome App for Logging Fuel, Service, Parts, Expenses... February 13, 2012
By Sam
Verified Purchase
I initially doubted any app for logging data for my bike would be adequate enough for my needs, but this app has surprised me.

You can log all purchases into separate "divisions/files" for Fuel, parts, services, and "other" expenses (insurance, helmets, jackets, registration, etc.)
The app keeps up with your tank-to-tank MPG, as well as MPG over time or life-time. The app also reminds you of service intervals, based on mileage or elapsed time (you set the interval).
This app has already helped me keep up with expenses and track costs like I only could have dreamed.
The app also allows for tracking multiple bikes at the same time, tracking their expenses, MPG, and service intervals independently, while allowing you to view them independent, grouped, or summarized. There is also a nice "graph" view to show change over time for all tracking provided by the app. This thing is very well made/designed... even for a free app.

Honestly, I may upgrade to the pro version, only so I can also scan in my receipts and transfer data between my phone and tablet to make things that much easier to keep up with.

UPDATE:

I upgraded to PRO, and really do like the sync between devices (tablet/phones), so I can make updates on fuel purchases "real-time" from my phone and up-link the data to the server and view it on my tablet later. The sync has only hiccuped once and didn't transfer a fuel purchase, but I'm not complaining... Oh, and I've also begun to use this APP to track expenses and fuel purchases for my other vehicles too... car/truck... its not JUST for motorcycles!

4.0 out of 5 stars DriverDiary August 16, 2013

This app seems to be updated quite often. Some of the updates I like, others I do not, but most are individual preferences so I won't mention them here. It takes some time to get used to how this app works. Once it is understood you can do quite a bit with it and, actually, more than most people would want to do. it's a bit tedious in the long run but if you're only tracking fuel economy and not all the maintenance and repairs, then this is fairly quick and handy since you can carry your Kindle in your car and enter the data before you leave the pump. I have been tracking my vehicles in an Excel spreadsheet for a lot of years, and still do, but it's always good to have a backup system and this is good at what it does. Just remember, you need to play with it and explore all the data it can keep for you. The biggest frustration I ran across is that it doesn't auto-save all the data you input. For instance, when you input data after a new fill-up at the station, you MUST tell it to save the data before you leave the input screen or all of that fresh data will be lost. The same goes for some other screens, as well. It's frustrating, at first, when trying to figure out all the inner workings of this app but once you get an understanding of how it works it becomes much easier , and quicker, to use. These guys did a good job on the programming and deserve an "Atta-boy". It looks nice and can track and give data on an awful lot of information, if you'll only type it in.

This is a good program, but a little confusing on how to do things. You need to hit the save button every time you change something or it won't remember it. A good program to keep track of gas mileage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally gnarly September 24, 2012
By K. W.
Awesome product - love the ability to track all vehicle realted expenses, as well as the ability to track multiple vehicles. The interface is highly intuitive, and once you make general selections, they don't have to be entered every time you fill up.
