I love the extra large Swiffer Max - it covers so much more floor so much faster. Here's an idea I hope will work for you and save you money:

A couple of years ago I discovered I can easily attach a microfiber cloth (you can get them on Amazon) to the Swiffer, then I dampen it with a little hot water and vinegar and go to town cleaning my floor. If the cloth isn't too dirty after a few days of floor washings I just flip it over and use the other side. Then it goes into the washing machine and dryer and the whole process starts over again.

To make my kitchen smell nice I take a fresh microfiber cloth and dampen it with water and sprinkle several drops of an essential oil such as peppermint in the morning to wake everyone up:-) or lavender at night (for relaxation). Essential oils are also sold on Amazon. I hope these tips are useful to someone.

Almost my entire house is tile, so I wanted to try this larger size. Putting 2 of the wet swiffers on is awkward, and they don't stay on as well as they do the regular sized Swiffer. But just as with the regular sized Swiffer, it does do a nice job of getting into corners and picking up the dirt. I have seen the dry max cloths for sale, but not the wet...I'm wondering why they would make such a product and not make cloths to fit????

I would have given this product a 4 star rating if I could find the x-large dry cloth in the regular stores. At least amazon carries them, and I can get even more of a savings going with the subscribe and save. I believe I'm going to do that, and have them delivered every 2 months. There will only be 12 days I would have to either not sweep my floors or reuse the cloth. With my floors, I'm able to usually reuse the cloth at least once.

It does what I want it to do, and replaces the large regular broom in my house. It will not pick up large derbs. I use it as a broom to make a small pile, and use a good dust pan with a small brush to pick up what is left over. To me it is easier than using a large broom and dustpan. I only have to sweep once instead of twice.

It is excellent for getting the dirt you don't think is there off the floor. It is excellent for large areas, and I get done quicker. So far, I haven't had any problems getting it around chair legs. If you have small spaces to manover the swiffer in, then you will want to go with the original swiffer sweeper.

If you do buy this product, plan on buying the dry cloths from Amazon.

I did use the wet cloth, but didn't like the wet cloths. I got the chemicals all over my hands when I went to put it on. I liked the swiffer wet jet much, much better. With the wet jet, the pads are dry. They stick on with velcro, so it only takes two seconds to stick them on. You can spray the cleaner as needed. Much more efficient than the wet cloth for the swiffer sweeper.

My only problem with the X-large Swiffer Sweeper is that in order to use the wet cloths, you must use TWO. This makes it a little expensive just to go over a floor for a quick wet mop. Too bad they don't make the wet mop in the XL size. Also, the XL dry cloths are nearly impossible to find in stores. Thank heaven for Amazon.

They make you think you're getting two refills, but they fail to mention that it takes two wet cloths to mop once. The wet cloths have a scrubbing strip, and you're supposed to be able to just "flip to scrub," but when you flip, the mop just flips right back (i.e. you can't scrub at all!). Plus, I can't find the refills for the dry cloths in the Max size in stores, so you have to use two of the regular ones for that too!

The dry cloths do work nice, and really do pick up hair and small crumbs, but not larger particles. So I found myself having to vacuum up the pile of dirt that it leaves behind--which kind of defeats the purpose.

The wet cloths didn't clean very well and seemed to leave a film on my floor.

I contacted the company about my complaints, but they weren't helpful at all. I wanted a refund!

I'm not a happy customer!!

I hardly ever write reviews, but after buying this mop I had to write a review. I bought this mop after seeing a couple of commercials that lured me into trying this product out. This has got to be one of the worst purchases I have ever made. First the 2 wet mopping clothes are too small and you have to use both of them in the first use. Secondly, I have a one bedroom apartment and I couldn't even finish the entire floor before they come off. I wish I could return this product. I found it a complete waste of money.

Tthe swiffer is lrager than standard. The wipes that come with it don't stay on. Also the package has two swiffers. You get two brushes... Not sure who the "geneous" behind selling two swiffers in one package. My bad for placing the order in a hurry. Too bad Amazon can have with qa control when listing items. In that area Costco is normally much stronger.

We have recently moved and now I have hardwood floors in almost every room, and tile in the others. I needed something for everyday clean up and this works GREAT! My laundry is located in the basement on cement floors. I got the double set so I can keep that floor sweept up as well. Because we are still unpacking and setting up house, I haven't really used the one in the basement much but, it did what I needed it to do the time or 2 I have. As for the rest of the house, I'm very pleased with the product. The larger size is perfect for me and the cloths pick up well. I'm not to thrilled with the wet pads because it didn't seem to work well putting on two pads. Instead I purchased a spray product for the wood floors and use that along with the dry pads and that works nicely for me.

I am so pleased with this product and I knew I had to write a review for this, which is not typical of me, but it works that well I knew it was worth writhing a review about since I myself find reviews very helpful when it comes to buying a "never before used" product.

I have 4 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds and recently found out one of my kids has pet allergies. What I LOVE about this swiffer is the fact that it's larger than the usual swiffer but at the same time covers more area and you are finished even that much quicker. When I used the swiffer sweeper cloths for the first time and flipped it over to see how much it picked up I was shocked. I don't think it missed one piece of dirt or dog/cat hair on my hardwood floor areas which is something my regular broom and dust pan would never have picked up. I must add that this item will not pick up larger crumbs but what I do is usually sweep all the larger crumbs/dirt into one area and either use my vacuum to pick up the rest since I usually vacuum after cleaning my kitchen floors.

Another BIG plus for me with this item is the fact that it's so light weight and I've always suffered from back pain which I no longer experience pain when using this item like I did with heavy brooms/mops and because it's larger in size I'm able to be done so much quicker and spend more time with my kids then cleaning the floors all day.

The fact that you have to use two wet cloths has not been an issue for me because it's worth it when you have an item that works so well and benefits in so many ways that using two cloths seems like nothing when it comes to saving yourself valuable time, back pain and getting your floors cleaned quickly with a product that dries quickly so if my kids come into the kitchen right after cleaning the floors, there's no more slipping on wet floors that were still drying from a soaked mop....

I can't recommend this product enough, if you're a busy mom like me who hates spending time pulling out the broom/mop & bucket every time your floors need a cleaning then this is a product for you. Sometimes I even use the product just for the fun of it and to see how much it picks up that you wouldn't see yourself or would miss with a broom/pan. I love the fact that it gets up so much pet hair and easily manuevers in and out of small spaces.

I love love love this product and HIGHLY recommend to anyone!

On an added note: I didn't realize when I purchased this item that it actually comes with 2 swiffers and the cleaning pads, I thought Amazon sent an extra on accident but turns out I got more then what I was even expecting so I keep one in my guest bathroom and one in my kitchen.....which comes in very handy.

This is a great product. I can clean my tile in a short time and then throw away the cloth.
