5.0 out of 5 stars Performs as advertised!
I bought this because I was tired of my Polaris 280 having to run for 4 hours or more to clean up the mess after a storm. We have a large Chinese Elm in our yard and didn't want to lose it when we built the pool.

The Swimline Leaf Bagger allows me to pick up a mess of leaves in less than 30 minutes. I easily hooked the hose from my Polaris to the Bagger inlet...

2.0 out of 5 stars Frustrating - Not for real inground pools
I purchased this item thinking it would do a reasonably good job in my 44 foot by 20 foot in ground pool. This item is probably fine for smaller or above ground pools, but was very frustrating for a larger in ground pool. The net was very small and cheap feeling. The unit seems to be cheap plastic. It would not stay on the bottom of the pool and kept wanting to...

I easily hooked the hose from my Polaris to the Bagger inlet by disconnecting it just before the backup valve, then hooking it to the Bagger. The Bagger connects to a standard telescopic pool utility pole.

It makes picking up a mess of leaves on the bottom easier than skimming the surface, and uses the same pole. Highly recommended if you have a leaf problem with your pool.

It would not stay on the bottom of the pool and kept wanting to "float" to the top. The brushes fall out all the time, which makes them useless.

My advice is to buy a much more ruggedly designed one of these leaf vacuums from your local pool store, or online if you can find it. Get a bigger leaf bag in the unit, and make sure it has adequate weight to stay on the bottom of your pool and they wheels actually swivel properly. You will end up paying 2 to 3 times more for a quality leaf vacuum but at least you'll not be wasting your time with this "toy."

This Leaf Bagger is a great product. I have a tree that drops ALOT of leaves directly into my pool. I have no problem getting them all out now. My pool is always crystal clear now!

Leaf bagger works great. It picked up leafs and twigs in no time, gets the stuff that is too big and will clog your
pool vacuum.

This product works really good, but I did not notice that it was quite a bit smaller than the one I was replacing.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent tool, BUT..., July 2, 2010

This is the best tool I could have used for the miserable job I had. My geese broke through the pool cover and turned the pool into a pond. What a disgusting mess! I left it for dead until I saw this tool and felt some hope. I read the review and ordered the fine mesh bag, thank God ( Pentair Leaf Eater Fine Mesh Silt Bag # 75033BU 185-03 ) it really does the job. However - do yourself a favor and get two more items that really made the job manageable. There's no cut off valve on this vaccum, so get a plastic hose adapter with a cut off switch from the hardware store and install it between the vaccum and the hose where the hose attaches to the vaccum. Otherwise you'll have to have a 2nd person to cut the water on and off everytime. I put an additional "Y" hose adapter with two valves at the point before the hose section dropped into the pool, with an additional section of hose on the "Y" so I had a hose still available for rinsing or whatever without having to keep freeing the hose from the vaccum. Anyway, now I've got a swimming pool again, thank God and without having to drain the whole darn thing to clean it. Lesson Learned? Eat the geese for thanksgiving and christmas!

This vacuum works very well and I am quite pleased with the product, other than the fact that the "Complete with handle" is only 4" long, and I had to
spend another $30.00 for a handle so I could actually use it.

Instructions are not great with this product. It took me a while to figure out to take the piece out where the hose goes in. Once that was out and the hose screwed in correctly it works GREAT. My 6 year old grandson could get the leaves out. I do recommend this as inexpensive way to clean your pool.
Sincerely,

2.0 out of 5 stars No way to keep handle connected - thus useless, July 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Swim Time NA316 Leaf Bagger (Lawn & Patio)
The "handle adapter" is the reason I ordered this. first of all, it did not adapt to my very standard handle, and we had to cut off the end of the handle with a hacksaw to get it to fit. Then, there is just a little cheap plastic pin holding the handle and handle adapter in place, the pin comes out constantly, detaching the handle and renderring this completely useless. Very frustrating. If not for this problem it would work fairly well.
