4.0 out of 5 stars Quick and easy setup
I bought this spring float because is compact, yet I wouldn't need super lungs or an inflator to set it up. It is as quick and easy to set up as I expected. Just let it pop up, blow a little air (it doesn't take much) and I'm done.

My kids like to sit in the mesh as if this is a boat. Because of that, the mesh quickly started coming apart at the bottom...

1.0 out of 5 stars Pop goes the float
We had this float in the pool for about 2 weeks and used it 4 times, storing it safely after use. The fifth time we went to use it, it had deflated. I reinflated it then noticed it was leaking. This product hardly lasted at all, was not used for any roughhousing that would explain the leak and was definitely not worth the money. I would not recommend it.

Because of that, the mesh quickly started coming apart at the bottom seam. It's easy to sew up. Just beware that the mesh is not meant to bear the full weight of < 50 lb. children.

I like the papasan, but sitting up in it requires I actually sit up. Any attempt to lean back renders me flat on my back, although that position can be quite comfortable. It's like floating in an inner tube, but I'm more submerged in the water.

I'm 130 lbs., 5'5". This chair fits me well. My brother is 5'10". I don't know how much he weighs, but he has a muscular build. He was a little too tall or big to lay in it comfortably and for some reason, he kept tilting to one side when he was in it. His girlfriend and I did not have that problem, so we chalked it up to his size.

PROS:
+ compact
+ comes with a carry bag
+ quick and easy set-up
+ folds up quickly
+ comfortable to lay in

CONS:
- larger people may not fit comfortably
- mesh tears at the seams when children play in it
- no back support -- leaning back will put you completely on your back

This is the best pool float I've ever owned. It's comfortable, easy to store, and inflate. It deflates and inflates very quickly too.

With this float, you can sit or you can lay and you're always partially in the water. On a typical pool float, you're on top of the float, out of the water. With this one, part of your body is always in the water, keeping you cool and refreshed.

It's very durable and we take it when ever and where ever we hit the pool. We love this one so much, we bought another one and now have two!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Float!, August 1, 2011

Length:: 0:31 Mins

I had one of the Spring Float Recliner and loved it so I decided to try one of these. This lets you sit a bit lower in the water. I prefer it on hotter days when you want to be more in the water than with the recliner. The papasan is easier to store and inflate though since it is a simpler design. Here's a video to give you an idea about how in the water you are while using it.

This is a nice relaxing way to float without being stretched out on a full length float. Easy and quick to fill with air. Small and light enough to carry back and forth to the pool easily without deflating. Holds your head and neck comfortably out of the water, but it does not hold you all the way out of the water...if you want that then this is not for you.

My husband and I use these floats just about every day during pool season and love them. Closing them up after use is easy, once you get the knack of it. My husband seems to have a little more trouble with this part so I that's usually my job. (It's a little twist of your wrists.) They involve very little effort to inflate. I thought my mother would love these but she found she was floating at an uncomfortable angle backwards, (as another reviewer mentioned), and she went back to her favorite Noodle chair. For me, these are much more comfortable then Noodle chairs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Folds up for storage, not so comfortable for using, October 26, 2009

I purchased this because it folds into a small size for storage and appeared to be a comfortable float chair for the pool. We have lots of visitors, often in large numbers, so this seemed a way to have a "float" for most of the adults without having to worry about storage when not in use. The chair does fold down into a small easily stored package. The biggest con is that the chair is not very comfortable. It wants to float you at an angle that is so far back you aren't comfortable. I won't be replacing these with the same product when they wear out.

Saw these at a pool in Las Vegas. Had to get a couple of them. Easy to transport. Folds up to a small package. Might even take on our next cruise.

I enjoy floating around the pool in this papasan chair - it allows you to be immersed in the water to keep cool while you float about. You can read/drink/chill out because it keeps you upright. Very happy with the value for money - will have to see how long it lasts but it seems pretty durable.
