My friends and I each bought one duck for a large yacht party off of the Miami coast. It took a while to learn how to get on the duck because the duck was not designed for 25 year old men, but we figured it out. We tied the ducks to a back of a small motorized dinghy that towed us around anchored yachts. The ducks survived the weekend and were a huge hit with the party crowd.

With a plethora of popped pool floaties in our cabana and basement (yes, my kids are rough...) I hoped this would be a good product. We were NOT disappointed! This sturdy duck has 4 or 5 air compartments and provides a balanced ride. My daughters-- each 5'4" or so -- fit well on it, and my 6' 3" , 190 lb husband has spent an embarrassing amount of tie on it also. Highest recommendation on my part for mid-sized to big kids. I think it is too large for toddlers and it could be awkward to hold them on it due to the product's size. We have closed our pool and deflated it to store safely for the winter. When this toy is some day past its prime, I would without question try to order another product from this manufacturer. Which makes me think I need to determine the manufacturer now, rather than just the distributer...

We like our duck. It's a mascot for a youth center and was used in on a parade float (no floating required).

I purchased this as a gag gift for an adult and he loved it. It was also a hit with family & friends at the summer bbq. Very cute ... cute enough for the young & the young at heart.

The concept was fun. I bought it for my 3 year old daughter thinking she would enjoy it on the lake. Turned out there are more issues than fun:

1. Too wobbly to feel safe, especially for a kid.
2. The duck head is way too big. There are two handles on each side of the duck head. But it is a bit of a stretch for a kid to grab the handles.
3. The duck head is way too big. It obstructs your view. You have to tilt sideway to see what's in front of you. That usually means falling off the duck as a result.
4. Oh, did I mention the head is way too big? I tried to sit on it facing forward and backward. The duck head just got in the way. It is very annoying.
5. The duck sits high above water. Even an adult's feet can't touch the water. So when you're sitting on it, you have no way to kick or move forward. You basically just sit on it. That's is!

In conclusion, it is not a toy for a kid under 8. It can be a fun item to knock another adult off the duck because it is quite easy to fall off the thing.

My 17 year old son bought this as a joke to take on a tubing trip on the river. He and his friends have had a great time with this duck. It is very durable and quite large. Everyone that sees this huge yellow duck with teenage boys on it can't stop laughing. It floats well and holds a lot of weight. It would be great for younger kids in a big pool. We were very surprised by the quality of the material. I figured it would pop the first time they used it, but it has been to many pools, rivers and lakes and it is still in great shape.

Looks fun and cute BUT be careful it is very unsteady. I have 5 to 11 year olds trying to climb up to this and it would immediately tip to its side. When one of our guests at our party tried to climb this floaty, it fell to its side and made her hit her head on the side of the pool!! We tried everything to make sure it doesn't topple but despite all our efforts it continued to tip to its side when the kids tried to climb it. I'm going to stick with one of those low profile floaty like the turtle. Such a disappointment considering it is made well but it is just not safe.
