James B. Patterson is a well-known writer with a big reputation. Unfortunately, this book does not live up to the hype. The sex and violence is disturbing and revolting. I know, they were meant to be, but the depictions are too graphic and revolting. The storyline is not interesting, and rather too predictable.

Something went wrong when Mr. Patterson wrote this book. I think that the story didn't entirely jell, leaving the author to try and force it into shape, when the idea behind it just wasn't really ready to be put onto paper. The ending, especially, shows this.

No, Mr. Patterson is a genuinely good writer, and many of his books are quite good. This is just one clinker in a good career. Ignore it, and move on.

Sure, the whole way thru, the book was really graphic and gore. But that's what I like about crime/murder/mystery books of James Patterson. It kept me to edge of my seat. I couldn't put the book down. I read it in one sitting. However, I was really dissappointed with the way the story ended. I expected a much much more dramatic/intense ending. I think this would be a good movie if they change the ending differently. Thank you Mr. Patterson.

This book was a little more graphic in sexual and violence context. It had a good story line without all the other stuff.
