A Great Pool Toy with a couple of issues, May 7, 2007
Bryce's Gramma sent him this little boat knowing we have a pool and that inflatables just don't last. This boat is great!! He sits low enough in the seat that he can't flip over and would have great difficulty crawling out. The seat has four adjustment levels. Bryce is 30" tall and uses level two. I believe he will be able to use this for a long time...
Why not 5 stars?
1. Assembly - While not difficult, I'm not happy with having to apply stickers, which is what all of the decorations on the boat are. Stickers in water?? Curious as to how long they'll last. We'll probably end up drawing a face on when the stickers fall off.
2. The horn, which was supposed to have been preassembled, came laying in the bottom of the box. After one day's use, I've had to reinstall the horn 3 times. NOT an easy task given the tight fit. Will have to be glued in place if I can figure out how to glue with the tight squeeze. UPDATE: Have tried several different glues, all to no avail. Horn will not stay in.
3. The canopy falls back into the water. I flipped it over to try to put more tension into it. Now, looking at the photo Amazon provided, it looks like they may have changed the way it attaches. Tomorrow I plan to really shorten the "ropes" that are used to attach the canopy to the boat. It you look at the customer photos I provided, I made a note on one to illustrate.
Even with these few issues, I feel this boat is well worth the money. Knowing how many inflatables kids can go through in one summer, this is so worth it!

Wow, what a dissapointment! "The top of the Line baby float" In what world??
First after opening the box and seeing parts floating around I knew this was going to be a mess.
Cons:
1. Stickers must be applied yourself, and they are cheap and peel right up.
2. Missing a part that attaches the canopy to the boat.
3. Working horn was laying in the box and would not go on properly. So the new boat has a non working horn that I glued in place.
4. The canopy mesh was not sewn properly and is peeling away from the seam. After 20 minutes of sewing it is somewhat repaired, but wont last.
Pro's:
1. Sturdy plastic that wont puncture.
2. Seat seems comfortable for baby.
I will be calling Swimwear in the morning for the replacement part and a new canopy that I dont have to sew. In my opinion I will try it out in the pool, but more than likley return it to Walmart.

this is a very cute toy, and seemingly durable, don't get me wrong...however there are a few snafus that could be a lot better. i am pretty good at jobbing things together so I managed but the attachments for the visor were terribly described, the horn does not work and the stickers do not stay on(not even a little) and the stickers are so darn cute I hate to leave them off so a strong adhesive is my next attempt. my daughter does not seem to mind all these problems though, she keeps on boatin'!!
