Fascinating!,

Although this book was written before I was born, my father and his family were friends with the author. My dad and his brothers went to the mission school that is the setting for the book. My Dad was also able to tell me who was the inspiration for many of the characters in the book. It is a MUST-READ for anyone interested in Southwest Virginia in the 1950's.
