If this is the Kyle and Susan Webb instructional tapes, then it's worth purchasing - great value. You get a whole bunch of moves for the price. They are very good teachers. Not the most stylized or fluid dancers, mind you, but they really teach you the steps. And they seem pleasant enough, without pretension. It would be easier if they put all of the moves of a style (east coast for example) on the same tape, rather than separating tapes by their level of difficulty. The music is annoying but catchy (I hate that). We like this tape much better than Teresa Mason's stuff. Warning, the jitterbug stuff is really two-step. However, the clearly-taught east coast swing makes it worth the price of the tape.

This video is not for one seeking to dance fast paced swing. The instrucion is clear and informative but the moves are unimpressive when set to the personally annoying "oldies"/country western music. I give one star for good instruction, one for reasonable price, and one because if you're only looking for a simple dance to learn this is your video.

These tapes are the best, they are worth the time and money, and Kyle and Susan Webb are two of the BEST instructors that a person can have in their living room. If you want to Jitterbug, East Coast ,or West Coast Swing, you will see good results immediately. Now, I need a little help, will someone tell me where I can purchase the music provided by the Catillacs for these tapes? Thanks

Several types of swing dancing, including east coast and west coast. Pretty basic, just a guy and a lady in a plain room demonstating the steps and going over them from all different angles, nothing fancy. The 3 tapes are beginner, intermediate and advanced with different types of swing on each tape. This tape was good but nothing to get excited about.

The dance instruction on these tapes, what little I was able to see of it, looked reasonably good. The problem is that, at least with the copies I received, the tapes themselves were defective and/or mislabeled. Amazon's terrific customer service allowed me to return the tapes and provided a replacement set, but it turned out that the replacement set had the same problems as the original set had.

There are 4 tapes in this set. Tape 1 is supposed to be beginning swing lessons, tape 2 is suppossed to be intermediate swing lessons, tape 3, advanced lessons, and tape 4, a demonstration tape, showing the dance steps in action. Well, I received no actual tape 1. I had a tape that was labeled "Beginning Swing Dance Lessons" but there were no lessons on it. In fact, it was identical to tape 4, the dance demonstration. So I had no beginning lessons, but I had intermediate and advanced lessons, as well as two identical "dance demonstration" tapes. Obviously, if you are a beginner, you'd like to have a beginning tape.

It is apparent to me that this is a labeling/production problem--quite unfortunate, too, because as I said before, the instruction that I DID see looked pretty good. If you purchase this set, you might be lucky and receive all the correct tapes, correctly labeled. But I tried two different sets, and they both had the same problems, so chances are, your luck with this product will be about as good as mine.

So you might want to buy one of the other swing lesson tapes that have received good customer reviews.

Pretty good. It shows the basic moves very well which is good. If you mastered what is shown on the three tapes. You'd really know how to swing baby!
