This review is from: Swing Low, Sweet Harriet (Mass Market Paperback)
I just finished the author's other work, A Queer Kind of Umbrella. This story (Sweet Harriet) is written 45 years earlier in the period where Pharoah calls everyone "cat." Also he had a different boyfriend in this one but there are sour notes sounding at the end which I take as there is a new boyfriend coming in the next novel. This was a delightful slice of the mid to late 1960s and I enjoyed it very much. I will remember the good old days after Stonewall but before aids. What a world!
