Osie Johnson's All-Stars - Swingin' Sounds This mono LP album was released by Jazztone Records J-1234 in 1956. This album is contains the tracks originally released in 1955 on two 10 inch albums issued by Period Records -- Period 1108 and 1112. The All-Stars are Osie Johnson (drums), Dick Katz (piano), Thad Jones/Chiefy Salaam (trumpets), Henry Coker/Bill Hughes/Benny Powell (trombone), Ernie Wilkins (alto sax), Frank Wess (tenor sax/flute), Charlie Fowlkes (baritone sax) and Milt Hinton/Wendell Marshall/Eddie Jones (bass). Not all players appear on all tracks.
