Sam is a Jazz Drumming legend in his own time. He has written 2,500 drum manuals, has numerous records and CD's and is loved by musicians everywhere.
Perhaps more importantly, as a health publisher, we view Sam's writing as an inspiration for living a healthy, full life. When Sam recently found out he had a form of diabetes that was controllable through diet, he changed his eating habits that day. No excuses. No bull. No remorse. That's how he writes and his message is refreshing.
Get this book for all of your friends and family over 55. Or under that age if they need common sense advice for living.
Now 84 years old and showing no signs of letting up, Sam is a performer, educator and author who has been in the music profession for over 65 years. During that time, he has studied with and taught the best of them, while carving out a niche for himself as a respected drummer on the New York scene. Great Gift for Mom and Grandmom,
By Healthy Mother (NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Keep Swinging! Approach Your Senior Years Without Skipping a Beat (Paperback)
I got this book for my mother because she is now 63 and she was thumbing through it in the bookstore, laughing at parts, and saying "so true, so true." I bought it for her. She then ordered one for her sister and one for her mother, who in turn ordered if for friends. They say it is humorous, true, and makes them think about setting up their lives better. After my mother read this, she took up music again, which had been on the back burner for years.

Encouraging, but I've read better books. It's cheap enough though that I'm satisfied with it. I'll probably give it to our local library so someone else can enjoy it.
