I bought this because I regularly need to seperate my keys, and it's a giant pain to try to twist the pertinent key off of a conventional key ring.

This makes it MUCH easier. So far it has held up well, but I have only been using it a few weeks. The only questionable thing is that it was advertised as being by Swiss Army, and there was absolutely nothing on it or in the packaging that indicates it is a Swiss Army product. Also, there were no instructions, so if you have never used one before, it might take some playing with it to figure out how to use it. But once you do, using it is quick and easy.

After searching several local stores for this product, I finally resorted to the Internet. I found exactly what I was looking for and immediately ordered it. It arrived very timely and in perfect condition. I especially liked that this product was produced by Swiss Army and that it seems to be very stout.

I love being able to separate my work keys from my personal keys on the weekend with just the touch of a button.

Not a lot to say about this product. I does what it is supposed to. A quality product that allows you to (for example) keep your car keys in the ignition while checking a mail box. Not had any problems so far, seems excellent for the price. Was supplied quickly and easily too.

Worked great for the first couple weeks but soon broke when one of the ball bearings somehow got lost. Not the reliable.

I've had this style of key thing before, they usually last a couple of years. This one failed on the first day. The lock/release mechanism inside is messed up.

It's more trouble than it's worth to return the dang thing, so it goes to the recycle bin (I guess it's good for something). I bought a different brand of the same thing at my local hardware store last week when shopping for something else, and it works.

Works great while it isn't broken. Had it for about 3-4 weeks until it broke. The little ball bearings that hold the two pieces together fell out and prevented it from staying together. I actually found the tiny pieces twice and put them back in, but the third time they were lost for good. Go with a different one if you want some durability. Can't complain too much for the price of it though.

So far I have enjoyed the two sets of coupling key fobs I purchased. They allow my wife and I to swap cars in the matter of seconds while retaining all the other keys we usually want on our key chains. The same goes for dropping off your car at the dealership for a service - no more nail braking twisting of key rings. However do not expect anything fancy or "Swiss Army". This is a plain, coupling key fob.

I did not buy the first two items from Amazon. I'd picked them up from a Victorinox showroom.

The Swiss Army coupling key fob is very functional & smartly designed. Made of heavy duty stainless steel & very well built. I suspect that the ball bearings in this push-lock & release mechanism will eventually fail one day. It neither has Victorinox nor Swiss Army logo on it. It just has 'Swiss Made' embossed on it & it came in a Victorinox blister pack.

Conclusion:

I spent over USD30 to put this keychain together (see pix) & it is also the best keychain I've ever put together. It's totally worth it & with some care, sh'd last a lifetime. It also makes a cost effective & practical gift for all seasons / occasions.

It says it's made by Swiss Army, but there is nothing on it that indicates that it really is. It looks nothing like the picture. The picture looks like there is some sort of writing on it, but the item I received is completely blank. Also, the picture shows it to be brushed metal, and it is very shiny. Hopefully it will last, but I don't like when I order something and the picture doesn't match the product. Seems strange...
