A versatile timepiece that's ideal for daily wear, the Swiss Army Men's Chrono Classic Watch offers a refined, black circular dial with white Arabic numeral hour indexes, luminous silver-toned hands, and a discreet date display at four o'clock. The three subdials offer full chronograph function while a black-plated, stainless steel bezel is inscribed with a tachymeter. Paired with an ultra scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the stainless steel case protects the dial and provides durability. The classic, stainless steel bracelet is secured with a deployment clasp. This watch is water resistant to 330 feet (100 meters) and is equipped with precise Swiss quartz movement.
The Victorinox Swiss Army Story
In 1884, Karl Elsener opened a cutlery workshop in Ibach-Schwyz, Switzerland with the support of his mother Victoria. Just like that, Victorinox Swiss Army was born.
In 1891, Elsener and his coworkers deliver knives for soldiers in the Swiss Army for the first time. Six years later, the company legally protected the names Swiss "Officer's" and "Sport Knife." The model later became known as the Original Swiss Army Knife.
Following Elsener's mother's death in 1909, the company incorporated her name into the brand and unveiled its well-known cross and shield emblem. Elsener arrived at the name Victorinox by combining the name Victoria with "inox," an abbreviation of the French word for rust-resistant steel, "inoxydable."
In 1989, Victorinox officially entered the timepiece business in the United States under the brand name Swiss Army. In 1999, Victorinox partners with the American TRG Group in St. Louis and enters into the international travel gear market. In 2001, the company launched a fashion line in the U.S. with a collection that delivers technical and tailored styling capturing the brand’s essence of practical luxury. If that wasn't enough, in 2007 Victorinox sets up Victorinox Swiss Army Fragrance AG, and in 2009 Victorinox Swiss Unlimited was launched.

Purchased this watched because of the simple elegance of design, the quality of the brand, its sapphire crystal, all at a very reasonable price. I have not been disappointed as the watch looks great whether on my wrist or when simply placed on a counter top. The chronograph feature, again a simple 30 minute stop watch, measures elapsed time up to 30 minutes within one tenth of a second. Both this function and this watch's primary function of displaying of time are highly accurate... I have had this timepiece nearly one month now and thus far no adjustments/resets needed. No scratches on the crystal either despite my high propensity for doing just that. May not need any kind of reset until the fall when we all set our clocks back one hour.

I recently ordered the Alliance Tachymeter Chronograph with black dial and have been very pleased with the quality of this watch. If it had "Omega" on the dial, it would also have a $2000+ price tag.But for $255, nothing comes close to this watch. The hidden clasp is a feature usually associated with premium brands...but there it is...and it works very nicely.The polished and brushed band looks incredible as it flows into the case. The only...fault(?)...is the lack of a screw-down crown...but at the ridiculously low price, you can't go wrong.

Just received it. Very quick shipment from Jomashop. Thing's built like a tank, but is still sleek and comfortable. Very clear and legible. Amazon pictures are pretty much right on (on the black model anyway). Nothing gaudy, just a classy but rugged every day wear kinda watch. Fit and finish of this watch is quite impressive. No screw down crown, but that really doesn't bother me. Looking forward to beating on the sapphire crystal to see what it can take. The hands are luminous and sufficiently bright, not tritium bright though. Kinda wish they would have applied the luminescent treatment to the numbers, no biggie though. Anyone the least bit familiar with a clock can tell what time it is with the lit markers. All the hands almost perfectly align with numbers and markers. Chronograph functions flawlessly. Bracelet is stout, but the double clasp deal takes a bit of getting used to, but it'll never come undone inadvertently. My first swiss watch and I think I got what I paid for. Victorinox is a very underrated brand. Especially for this price. You won't be disappointed.
