i bought this watch over three & a half years ago & have just today had a new battery installed! If you like pocket watches,you can't go wrong with this one. The only reason i didn't give it a 5 star is because if the month has any thing else besides 31 day's you must set the date manuelly! The watch keeps very good time as a good watch should. I got a very good price from Amazon & am very happy i purchased it! George from MO.

Bought this watch, it just arrived. First time I tried to set the date, was unable to do so. Second time, the crown (knob on the stem you set date and time with), came off in my hands. Didn't realize I only had 10 days to return to seller, so I am stuck going through repair centers. Expected more from a watch at this price point.

This item is great, My dad bought it for himself and is completely satisfied. It's a simple design but clearly elegant. Everything was ok, no problems at all. If you really want to get it then you should.

I feel in love with the looks of this watch while having a new battery installed in another watch at a jewelry store. So far the battery in this is still going after one year and was running when I bought it so I don't know how old the battery is. The watch is quite large and very easy to read the time. Now that I am older I wish the date window was larger too. If there is one thing I would change on the watch is to have a textured knob for setting the date. I cut groves in the knob with a dremal tool to make a better grip for setting the date when the month doesn't have the 31 days. My atomic solar watches set themselves and aren't as cool as a pocket watch. The crystal is still clear and the leather pouch is very well made. I put a larger clasp on the chain for ease of fastening it on my belt loops.

I gave my father this watch for father's day, and he loved it. Excellent quality, looks great and works great. I just hope my dad doesn't lose it....
