My experience is the opposite of the reviews posted here.

I followed all instructions and cook at medium heat or lower. Yet, the only things that I cook, that is, oatmeal and congee (rice soup) both stick to the pot. I need to soak the pot in water for the food to dislodge.

Definitely NOT worth the more than $200 I spent on the set.

Better to buy a cheap teflon pan set and get better results.

This cookware seems very durable and well engineered. Sturdy handles, venting lids, solid and nice weight. Nothing seems to stick to it. In my opinion the value is much better than calphalon cookwares and will probably outlast all others that we have tried.

So here we have a pan marketed as being made with diamonds that render the surface "indestructible." It's hyped up with cool-sounding technology jargon like "nano-composite." The manufacturer blatantly claims the product contains no Teflon whatsoever, and says the pan is safe for your health.

But what's the reality here? In reality:

* The nano-composite non-stick cooking surface is made primarily with PTFE, the chemical known as Teflon.
* The pan is marketed as a product that contains NO Teflon and is safe for your health.
* The non-stick surface scratches easily with a common fork.
* Scratching the surface with a household fork causes microscopic bits of the composite material (PTFE and diamonds) to be released into the food being cooked, whereby they are swallowed by consumers.
* The marketing of Swiss Diamond cookware heavily emphasizes "diamonds" while seemingly going out of its way to avoid mentioning Teflon or PTFE chemicals. It appears to give consumers the impression that they are "cooking on diamonds."
* Consumers are being widely misled into believing that this product is an alternative to Teflon when, in reality, it's made of the same thing as Teflon!
* Swiss Diamond pans are being marketed by some of the best-known retailers and catalog companies in the world, including Amazon.com, NextTen catalog and hundreds of others.

The Swiss Diamond brand does contain PTFE. A substance known by the brand name Teflon. Don't fall for the hype marketng designed to make you think this pan is any different than a high quality teflon coated pan.

This set was bought as a Christmas gift for my wife. Haven't go to use it much yet but we especially like the heavy, flat bottoms that are required for the smooth stove top. Also like that we can use metal utensils. Only negative is that hand washing is recommended rather than dishwasher due to dishwasher reducing the non stick coating.

I bought this set 3 years ago and this is the best cookware I have by far. The other non-stick cookware I have are Calphalon, Berndes and T-Fal, but none can compare. The slightly rugged surface must be the secret of that purfect crust my omlettes have when I use SD pans. And cleaning them is a breeze. I did not come to testing the manufacturer's claims about using metal utensils with SD wares ***. I have been using non-stick wares for ages I have a variety of plastic and wooden utensils, as well as habit of using them. So I continue using them with SD as well. Also, I still have other non-stick cookware and it would be highly inefficient to change my cooking habits only because I can gently use metal on SD. In any case, in my use the non-stick items expire not because of the wrong utensils, but because non-stick coating 'burns off', which it does pretty frequently in my kitchen because I cook a lot for my family, as well as for entertaining friends.

My older son is looking to buy his own appartment and I consider buying him SD cookware as part of the house warming gift, unless he asks for something specific.

*** If you are looking for the cookware that lasts forever, buy plain cast iron, or iron frying pans, cast iron or aluminum dutch ovens and stainless steel pots. However, be prepared to invest in cleaning and/or reseasoning them.

These are the best non-stick cookware I have ever had. They heat evenly and clean up very easy. The are also very well constructed. Well worth the price.

Not sure what some of the others are cooking but Ive cooked a ton of stuff on this cookware since I got it a year ago and Im notorious for overcooking/undercooking/burning....etc....anyway this cookware has changed all that and I love this stuff and its seriously durable!!!!!I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for good quality cookware.

This is the best non-stick cookware. I put it to the test by frying an egg with no oil or butter, just on the dry pan. It did not stick. I even flipped the egg and the yolk never broke. I love that I can use my metal utensils. Clean-up is so fast and easy, no soaking or scrubbing. You can't go wrong with this cookware. If you buy extra pieces, get the breakfast pan which is made with one edge much lower so you can just slide your eggs off the pan onto the plate. Wonderful cookware.

OK...This set is by far the BEST COOKWARE made to man kind. It's absolutely the only thing I want to cook on now. The highest of quality and attention to detail is given to this cookware. It's heavy, durable, non-stick features are TOP of THE LINE. I cook every day. I've used EVERYTHING, from Cephlon, to Emeril, to Costco...NOTHING and I mean NOTHING compares to the Swiss Diamond Cast-Aluminum. Everything else I have ever owned was thrown out. I will only use Swiss Diamond because it makes cooking so much more enjoyable when the pans you use actually are USEFUL!

Do not hesitate with this purchase. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Happy cooking!
