Butterflies can take this out of commision,

On our second outing with this tent (About a year apart from first), BOTH of the main fiberglass support poles broke off right at top where the rods were inserted into the metal connections. Mind you, the tent was not under any stress (no wind, no heavy items hanging from ceiling...). Also, it collects condensation quite easily inside. As for rain, we never had it out in heavy rain--thank goodness. I doubt it can hold back any water, as the material used is almost see through. Do no expect it will hold back any wind either. We froze in it during a mildly windy and cold night. Worst camping item I ever purchased.

Easy to set up, did it alone by flashlight.
For the money it has some great features. And the standing room is great, I'm 6'1" and it's nice not to hunch over all the time . Wouldn't use it for packing but, for car camping its perfect. We'll see how it holds up in the desert soon.

The first tent of this kind was missing a part. One of the loops on the bottom was missing or torn out. The second one was o.k., roomy and functional. Then, while on a family camping trip we engaged some rain. Moderate intensity and no more than 20 min. Everything inside was soaked. Water was standing on the tent floor. The outer shell appeared to be as water resistant as a tea bag. Finding the tent completely useless I cut it into 3 pieces to stuff it into the camping dumpster. I repeatedly wrote Swiss Gear and asked for a statement, but never received any response. Buy this tent for backyard camping and indoor adventures. If the Swiss army goes out in this stuff, they must be a miserable bunch and better stay neutral.
