Pure Panther at his best is what this cd is all about. This record is part of a 3 cd set that comprehend all the music played by Dex and the Kenny drew trio in Swiss those nights in the seventies. All the set is simply perfect. Steeplechase is a fantastic record label. I advice you to consider Steeplechase records in your future purchases, because in the record company's catalog you can find great recordings. These three cds are no exceptions: Dexter is in great shape here, there's a tenor Madness that will raise your hairs, a fantastic version of Days of wine and roses (the Mancini's masterpiece) and a Jelly jelly Jelly with Dex singing that is pure delight....And the Kenny Drew trio swings and hard bops with the best of them all!!!!
