The 11-piece set begins with a gleaming 18/8 stainless-steel pot sitting on a matching three-legged rechaud stand. Steel is an excellent agent for fondue cooking, as it provides even heat distribution, corrosion resistance, and a nonsticking surface that's easy to cook in and clean. Underneath, a paste/gel fuel burner with a rubber-covered handle is both accessible and secure in its steady tiered base. A removable splatter guard on top features slots for the six numbered stainless-steel forks, so hands stay safe and cool even when temperatures below really heat up. To melt cheese or chocolate, add the high-sided, 1-quart ceramic bowl and use water in the pot to create a double boiler that will keep liquids smooth and bubbly without burning. For meat, remove the bowl and pour oil or another fondue broth right into the 1-1/2-quart pot itself-the liquid will remain at 350 degrees F for consistent, controlled cooking throughout the meal. Also included are easy recipes to get the party started, and extra ceramic inserts are sold separately to add courses and choices. Voila! Now it's time to invite five friends, get creative, and concoct appetizers, main courses, and desserts that'll keep everyone dipping for more! --Kara Karll

I think it's great!,
This review is from: Swissmar Arosa 11 Piece Stainless Fondue Set (Kitchen)
The product looks great and I love the fact it comes with two separate pieces, ceramic for chocolate and cheese and stainless steel pot for meats. The finish is great, much better from the $20 dolar one I bought at BBBeyond.

A fondue maker is a pure luxury item. They charge 80 bucks for a fancy pot when I can make fondue on the stovetop. All it really does is keep the fondue warm. When I bought the Arose 11 Piece Fondue Set I expected it have instructions and for it to be intact. If you look at the picture of the set, you will see three stainless steal pillars. The problem is the cup that holds the burner will not fit through the pillars. It isn't easy to remove the screws that connect the pillars to the set. After the cup is inserted, then the set is in pieces and it isn't easy put the pillars back. A hint is you have to bend the set to reattach the pillars. Clearly, Swissmar isn't interested in quality.
