Brightly colored, this squarish fondue pot can cook meat (with oil) or melt cheese for dipping bread, vegetables, and fruit. To use for cheese fondue, simply remove the included splatter ring. It comes with a wooden platform, which features grooves where the black cast iron base (rechaud) sits. Love these - very high quality. Actually saw them on a cooking show on tv the other day. VERY heavy (quality product). I did have trouble getting oil hot enough to cook meat in a timely manner. Probably need a larger source of heat. The meat cooked, oil was hot/bubbled, but not like I've seen it in restaurants and took much longer.

Excellent with cheese or chocolate - smooth, even heat due to quality material. I highly recommend this set - well worth the $$. I bought both the square blue and round red sets.

I did alot of searching on Amazon.com for a fondue set and fell in love with this one. The design is beautiful and sturdy while the color looks great. The only negative was that one of my ceramic bowls broke during shipping. I contacted customer service immediately and they were not able to send new bowls since this came in a one package deal. They did, however, refund me some money for the issue which I plan on using for new bowls. Also, it says in the product features that it comes with "safety Swiss fondue fire gel" which I don't believe is correct. Atleast, I didn't seem to come with it which was fine because I purchased the Swissmar Fire Gel from BB&B in my town (which also works great!)

I used this pot the very next day after I received the item in a fondue dinner night with 6 friends. It worked wonderfully! I used it for cheese and chocolate while using a second pot for the meat portion. For the chocolate fondue I put the whole pot on the stove, melting the chocolate, then transfered it back to the fondue stand.

You might think that the price is a little too high compared to other fondue sets on here. However, I do believe in the saying "you get what you paid for". I am certainly not a great cook and I don't plan on being one either. This pot is easy to use and easy to clean. I believe this item to last me quite a long while and no matter what phase I go through it will always look great, stylish, and contemporary.

Makes a great fondue!! I've used it three times since getting it and I'm very pleased. The construction is better than what you usually get from China. It cleans up very well since it's coated with the ceramic.
