Works great on zucchini, you can make "noodles" out of them. I think the trick to this cheep little kitchen toy is to lay the veggie on its side on the cutting board and spin your carrot or zucchini around as you "peel" it. Price is right, if you like to fiddle with your food, you should get one! Great for salads.

My 12 year old and I were excited to get this - we've been wanting it for quite a while and finally had the $$ to get it. We were greatly disappointed! Yes, the blade is sharp, but it's very difficult to pull along the veggie you're trying to julienne. I ended up cutting the carrots into 2" pieces and that didn't give the final result we were looking for. It never occurred to us that with the teeth, it wouldn't be as smooth as a regular peeler - I was disappointed in it, but will continue to try.

The plastic felt cheap and the metal blade part was not strong enough for carrots, I returned it almost as soon as I got it.
