I only had raclette once before ordering this, so I don't have a connoisseur's understanding of it all, but I can say that this grill does a great job for my family and I. I like the idea of the granite top better than a metal one. It just seems cleaner and maybe healthier for you. The pans and scrapers are fine and it actually heated up for cooking in less time than the other raclette I had before. The granite seemed to stain a little and was somewhat difficult to clean, but I really don't mind. You only see the stains when it's heating up and before any food goes on it. After that, it's covered in meats and vegetables, and that's all that really matters!

Love the Swissmar Raclette. I purchased the stone party grill. To my surprise you can make a variety of things on this grill. We have done Raclette; fajita night, pizza night, quesodilla night and traditional meat and potatoes. This also makes wonderful breakfast. Omelet toppings, crepes and pancakes. Lekker!!!

I love this product...the only bad thing I could say is it makes the table area around the grill hot.

The raclette machine that I ordered arrived much faster than I expeced and I am very happy with the service. It came in perfect shape. I would highly recommend.

We love this raclette! We've used it several times and no complaints so far. It heats up nicely and there is a knob to control the temperature on the side. The trays and scrapers are perfect. The people sitting at the ends of the table have to reach around to the trays but it really isn't a problem. The granite top comes right off and cleans up so easily - no scrubbing or scraping required. We've had some great dinner parties with it, and its a fun conversation piece. Plus I love the red on the bottom!

We really like the raclette ! everything looks good so far. The dishes are large and the handles are very convinient, is comes with everything you need, the scrapers, top grill, 5 years warranty ...

Had never heard of a Swiss Raclette before, had no concept of what it was, how to use it, how to clean the stone, etc. I got mine as a Christmas gift, mailed directly from Amazon.com. To my consternation, the unit came with absolutely no information, either. Whether this was Amazon.com's fault or the fault of the Swissmar company that made it, I don't know. Fortunately, I read the reviews about the Raclette cookbook the company was offering, and decided not to order it. I finally found a little information on the Internet. Even that took a while. Now I am into experimenting.
