I spent way too much time shopping for something as simple as a bar spoon, but now I'm glad I did. The length is great for stirring drinks in highball glasses and shakers. The serration on the end of the spoon has come in handy for quick straining and the muddler is a nice addition where a lot of other spoons had nothing. I don't use the muddler for making mojitos or juleps or any drink that requires a lot of muddling, but I will use it for making an old-fashioned or a light muddle job. I highly recommend this spoon if you, too, are putting way too much thought into which bar spoon you're going to buy.

This may be of reasonable or even good quality in some distant (from me) land called Barspoon World but on my planet it's cheap junk. The twist is nice, but for 15 dollars as of late 2011, I foolishly expect more than the bowl of the spoon welded to the handle. As with all other spoons on my flatware world, I expect no ugly, bacteria-growing welds on the business end of my utensil. Really should have guessed this from the relatively sharp line between the handle and the bowl, but when I bought it the picture wasn't exactly high resolution. In an inverse of you-get-what-you-pay-for, if you assume a fifteen dollar spoon must have decent quality, you may be disappointed.

In short, this may or may not be good as a cocktail spoon, but it's way lower quality than even the cheapest flatware.

Terrible quality. The spoon is welded at the stem and the welding joint is a different color than the actual spoon and stem. Also, the welding joints are just globbed on which really makes this look messy and unattractive. If it wasn't for this, I would of been very happy with the cocktail spoon.

This spoon is not flimsy and has a nice appearance. I however found this spoon cheaper on bartender supply websites. This is my fault for not shopping around first.

We had been looking for a muddler / spoon. Classic! Dishwasher safe, durable so far. Very long for tall glasses. Just be careful, our it's strong, so don't outs too hard, especially on any insulated double-layer glasses, we broke one oops!

While if you're used to the stamped metal bar spoons with the red tip that bend every time you look at them funny then this product is still a HUGE step up.

That being said, I am not a huge fan of this spoon, It's feel is more industrial less finesse, the helix is course and the edges not very well rounded, the spoon itself is too big, and I haven't really figured out why its serrated, aside from possibly initially breaking sugar cubes and while it does have a muddler end I wouldn't do anything more heavy duty that sugar cubes or mint if your gentle, Plus it is 3 separate pieces of metal which with anything that you repeatedly heat, cool, stir, tap, shake and jiggle like you with a bar spoon that makes me wonder how long till I'm straining the head of my bar spoon out of a cocktail along with the ice.

The Swissmar cocktail spoon, made in China, is a nice addition to a home bar. The tooth edged spoon is welded to the stem with a seven eighths diameter hammer head on the other end, all with a shiny stainless steel finish. The best part is the ten and a half inch long spoon is perfect for use in pint, high ball, and collins glasses.

If you're looking for a well made and stylish cocktail spoon, look no further. The Swissmar cocktail spoon is sure to please.

PROS:
Stainless steel finish
tooth edged spoon for easy straining
Ice hammer is suitable for muddling and breaking ice

CONS:
None I can find

Good price, feels sturdy. No issues with using it to stir, muddle or crush ice.
