This is a great case! It fits beautifully and looks really cool while not being too showy. It feels good in the hands and doesn't add too much bulk to the phone. I can still slip the phone in and out of my pocket with not trouble at all and it DOESN'T collect dust or lint (pet peeve of mine)! It's very high quality and gives you easy access to all of your buttons and ports.

Now for the couple of concerns. First, the plastic back of the case scratches very easily. I don't mind this. I got it to protect the back of my phone, not the case. I just thought it was worth mentioning. Second, there is a hole at the bottom of the case to reveal the speakers and give you access to the port. This hole is cut at such an angle that the plastic is kindly sharp. It isn't sharp in that it will hurt anybody, but I often hold my phone with with my little finger supporting the bottom of it. After continued use of the phone in this position it begins to irritate my finger.They include a plug for this part of the case which I may begin using, but I find it rather annoying to have to plug and unplug the hole each time I want to charge or sync my phone. Finally, as with many cases, dust tends to gather around the holes that allow access to buttons and the like. It's no big deal for the majority of the phone, but the hole for the camera collected enough dust that I thought I should mention it. It's not horrible, but not good, and the way the hole is cut you can't clean it out with your finger, so you have to remove the case to get the dust out.

All three of these are very minor problems. When I get another case, it will more than likely be a SwitchEasy Rebel. I may be ordering more of different colors if I do decide to get a little flashy. ;)

I bought this case after reading the review at ilounge. It was the best rated iPhone 3G case at the time of purchase. The combination rubber + plastic skeleton frame is a good combo because it does not attract dust like full silicone cases.

I've had cases for other ipod products such as full silicone skins and clear polycarbonate shells, but nothing compares to the protection and styling of this product. The only thing it doesn't have compared to previous ipod cases is an belt attachment or belt clip, but I was never the type to wear electronic devices on my belt so no loss.

I bought this case because of the dual texture / materials and the overall look of the design (which I love!). While it does protect the iphone well, there are still a few minor complaints. First, the hardcase does not overlap the clear screen protector causing the screen protector to lift up and cause air bubbles every time I squeeze the case. A slight overlap would have kept the screen protector in place. Second, the insert for the connector dock does not fit well. I lost it after 3 days because it kept popping out.

i loved the look of my Rebel Tiger case, and the theory - soft inner, hard outer. however, it fails. the soft inner isnt rubber, its plastic. as such, it FAILED to absorb impact -- i dropped my phone a short distance to my hard wood floor, and the impact went thru the case and cracked the bottom of my phone's plastic back. not having that happen is sorta the whole POINT, right?

also - the soft inner loses form over time and allowed tons of dirt, grime & gunk into the case. that is not good as it will scratch the phone over time.

case in point -- my phone's chrome lining is completely scratched up, despite being inside the case the entire time.

I was surprised how goddamn sexy this case looked after I put it on. I honestly prefer how it looks now compared to how it looked naked. It adds a bit of bulk and weight, but it's not that bad, unless you're the type with particularly tight pockets. However, it feels solid and secure in my hand, rather than precious and fragile, like it did before.

I've only had it for a couple of days, but from my experience so far, the case is very comfortable, and preserves the use of all the buttons and ports. I particularly like how the case includes it's own volume rocker to go on top of the iPhone's, making it easier to press. However, the silent/ringer switch is a bit recessed, but it doesn't take that much more effort to reach it, and might help to keep it from being switched unintentionally. The one thing I do see that could be an issue is dust gathering around the case's openings. However, I'm sure this is something that all cases have in common, and can be fixed by removing the case and wiping the dust off.

I'm also using the screen cover included with the case. As long as you make sure the screen is clean (I wiped it with a paper towel moistened with rubbing alcohol and then finished up with the included cloth) and make sure the cover is aligned properly, it's cinch to put on (do it slowly though). I didn't have any serious trouble with bubbles, so I didn't have a need for the included squeegie (which is just a plastic card). I found that the cover added a bit more friction, but didn't smudge as easily as the glass. It didn't effect the responsiveness of the touchscreen.

To sum up, I'm extremely satisfied with the case so far. I haven't dropped it yet (knock on wood), but the design of the case does seem like it would effectively absorb the shock of an impact. If you're looking for extra protection for your iPhone but still want it to look gorgeous, look no further.

I have deliberately waited over a month since my purchase of the SwitchEasy Rebel before giving a review so that I have enough time of use to give an educated review. I did my research prior to purchasing it; I looked at hard cases, soft cases, leather cases, everything. I liked the fact that this case was a hybrid, both hard and soft. It has a soft inner layer and a hard outer shell. I was mostly concerned with protecting my iphone 3gs from damage if it was dropped. Other cases can keep it from being scratched, but I was looking for something that offered some impact protection. Since having the case I have only dropped my phone twice, but the case has done its job. The outer shell over the soft inner layer really seems to give it good protection. I think the case is a stylish looking and is not too bulky. I keep my phone in my pocket and have never thought it was too big or had too much friction.

The case does have some flaws, but they are not deal-breakers for me. Some of the other reviews I came across mentioned the fit not being good. My case does bulge slightly where the volume buttons are and I can see some of the chrome around the screen there, but it is only slightly and doesn't really bother me. There are reviews that discuss the screen protector being bubbled or slightly removed by the case, and I have not had this problem. I actually think out of the several screen protectors I have tried prior to purchasing this case, the ones it comes with are far superior to any of the other screen protectors. I think the key to that is installing the screen protector right and it is fine. I had a small bubble in mine when I first installed it, but after a couple days the bubble had even disappeared.

The hard plastic does get scratched pretty easily on the back of the phone, but again as long as it is the case and not the phone I can live with that. The one thing I noticed that I did not come across when reading other reviews is that the soft layer that covers the buttons is actually pretty susceptible to being "dented" by fingernails. The material over the sleep button has some little dents where my or someone else's fingernails have pressed in to the rubberlike material and have left permanent marks.

I would recommend this case to others as long as they are aware that their case may show signs of use. None of the design flaws I mentioned above would keep me from buying another one, I still think it is a great case for the money and it will protect your phone.

I really, really like this case. It has a unique look to it that not everybody likes but I personally like how it makes the phone stand out without really being bright or overdone.

The best thing about this case is that I like how it feels in my hand. The two different materials work great together to give me a case that lets my phone slide easily into my pocket but offers more grip than my previous favorite case, the InCase Slider. The hard plastic piece is already showing a few minor scratches after just a few days but I kinda expected that since most phone cases only look brand new for a few days anyways. When the phone sits on a flat surface it's balanced mostly on the "spine" of the case so that part tends to attract more small scratches than anywhere else.

Also, I didn't have any problems with the screen protector or the dock connector plug. Personally, I love the fact that they put a plug for my dock connector in the package. I know a lot of people will never even use it but I like it because I hate grabbing a pin or something and digging lint out of the connector ports every month. It fits snugly and is made from the same rubbery polymer as the rest of the case so it doesn't look out of place and I usually forget it's even there until I go to dock my phone.

If I had to pick one small gripe it's that the screen protector has a bit of an oily shimmer to it when you're looking at it from certain angles. It doesn't affect the screen at all when you're looking right at the phone and it doesn't make it any less transparent, but when you're looking at a reflection in the phone you'll see distortion like oil on a puddle of water. Like I said, it's a small gripe and not enough for me to give this any less than 5 stars.

If you have a 3g iPhone get this case. You'll love it.

First off let me say that I have owned a few different iPhone 3g cases so I can compare the cases. This is by far my favorite of all the cases I have owned for a few reasons.
-Good design
-Slim fit
-Good protection
-Doesn't interfere with screen (when typing)
-Comes with screen protectors (2)
The only thing I can complain about is that the sleep/wake button is covered and it is kind of tough to press. That is the only reason I give this a 4/5 because on other cases I have not had that problem.

If you drop your phone alot, this is the case for you. It will provide drop pretection and the static film cover is the best I have found yet. It is quite unique looking too and it gets alot of questions. One drawback is that it is hard to fit the phone into an armband when the case is on....

I had a clear case from the AT&T store before I got the rebel. I am very impressed with this case. The combination of the rubber-like sleeve and stiff plastic skeleton is a great idea. It provides confidence that it will protect my iPhone if I drop it. The screen protector has a matte finish that helps when viewing in direct sunlight. The addition of a stand for watching videos adds value. Highly recommended. This is the case for me. One other detail... This case does not pick up lint from your pocket!
